Wesley Matthews is worth every penny.

I'm sure many have said the exact same thing in so many words already, but if these two games weren't enough to convince the skeptics about the large contract we offered Wes Matthews, another 2 or 3 should remove all doubt.

Fans and local media regularly talk about Nicolas Batum being a 'glue guy', but in my mind Matthews is the glue guy to end all glue guys. The kind of versatile, skilled role player that every contender needs and the kind that teams such as the Miami Heat ignored in their summer signing sprees (OK, that's not completely true... Mike Miller will be very effective in a reserve role for Miami but he's out until January at least, and while we all know what Juwan Howard can do when called upon, he's not likely to see much, if any playing time with the Heat).

I liked Matthews' game when we could never figure out how to beat Utah last year, and I'm glad we've added it to our own arsenal. He has the opportunity to be one of the elite role players in the NBA, and such guys are as vital to a title run as any superstar.
