To all the "fans" who booed Rudy tonight.....

Please stop booing Rudy, or please stop going to games at the Rose Garden.

I think I can speak for all true Blazer fans when I say that booing your own player when he's out there playing hard for us, representing the red and black with heart and passion, giving it his best, and you boo him, it reflects negatively on us as fans, as a city, and as people.

Yes, Rudy said he would rather play in Spain this year. Yes, he was unhappy last year. Yes, he didn't look great last year. Yes, he asked the Blazers to release him from his contract. Yes, you may be unhappy with him.....but to boo your own team, when the game is on the line, and when we KNOW WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that the crowd energy can affect the outcome of the game, and you boo your own player....shame on you. Shame on you, anyone who booed him tonight.

We Portland fans should know better, too. We have had players play for us who deserve to get booed. I went to tons of games where a rapist was cheered for. A rapist, and you boo Rudy while he is trying to WIN a game for you. Shame on you.

I saw rudy miss 2 free throws in a row after people started booing him. A 90% free throw shooter missed 2 free throws in a row after his home crowd was booing him. Is this coincidence? Maybe. I strongly doubt it.

I hated hearing the boos, becuase it reminded me when we play the Lakers at the RG, the only games I consistently hear fans rooting against the Blazers. That's right "fans" who booed Rudy tonight, you remind me of Laker fans. I am probably not alone in this.

We are all fans of the same team. We all want the Blazers to win. We need to support our players so they will give us WINS. That's what's important now; WINS. I don't care about that kumbaya crap anymore. I don't need to feel I am connected to these players on a personal level. They are millionaire professional athletes, and have almost nothing in common with me. Almost all of them probably want nothing to do with a pleb like me. I am not "in the club."How they feel about my city is also unimportant. As long as they are here, fighting for me, representing my city, and trying to get the city of Portland WINS I am happy with them.

Don't boo your own team. DON'T DO IT. It's pathetic.
