SBNation: NBA Power Rankings
Here.
Blazers are ranked #6 in the West, as one of the "Teams That Could Go Either Way (Not That There's Anything Wrong With That)":
The Blazers did very little to improve their team from last season and are banking on getting key guys Brandon Roy and Greg Oden healthy. If they can keep their core group off the training table and on the court, they should be decent again. They traded away a lot of depth by moving Martell Webster and Jerryd Bayless, and they still haven't resolved the questions about how Andre Miller and Rudy Fernandez fit. They will be a good team and win games but the magic seems to be gone from Rip City. Or is it?

I don't understand why people don't consider Camby as an improvement that we didn't have last year
I haven’t seen the rankings but I’m gonna go ahead and assume the Thunder are ranked higher. Their offseason improvements exactly? I’m done with preseason power rankings, people can think whatever they want, we’ll let our play do the talking.
yes, Thunder are #3
Behind Lakers and Mavs. You’re right, preseason rankings are just another way to handle the hoopless months…

I guess so...
Someone must know something I don’t because a lot of people are expecting a major jump from the Thunder…we’ve covered this topic a million times here, but for me Durant was already scoring 30 ppg last year and it got you to 50 wins. You didn’t significantly improve in the offseason and you’re not sneaking up on anyone this year. Oh well…preseason rankings are wrong 99.9% of the time, they’re just speculation and they give us something to talk about while we wait for the real deal to start.
not to mention
It’s very unlikely they’ll be as healthy as they were last season, starters averaged 79 games each. I just can’t wait to get the season started and let the play do the talking..

Westbrook is still learning, too. Don't underestimate that.

I agree that people are forgetting about Camby
We only had Camby for 23 games last year.
Here’s a little research I did with last years numbers…
with Camby we were 17-6 -— .73 winning %
without him we were 33-26 -— .56 winning %
- Keep in mind, this doesn’t take into account the schedule, or other players that missed significant time — but interesting nonetheless.

Talk about a weak write up
Says they should be decent again? Wow, what an insightful prediction.
No mention of Matthews, who is a better fit than both Webster and Bayless. No mention of Camby. Nothing about the fact that the Blazers missed 300 games last season. I hope someone sends all these idiotic rankings to Nate so he can use them to fire up the team.

this is really lazy journalism
no real digging to see if we are better or not, its almost like he/she read the headlines for blazers for the last 3months and went off that.
Rip City Baby...People have no idea what is coming.

Blazers are indeed less deep than they were last year...
……………………….. Not to mention that OKC stole the team’s Best Kids in the NBA mojo.
“Could go either way” strikes me as accurate.

Strange Win Loss Predictions
They predict that the Thunder, Spurs, and Blazers will all have 50 wins. Then Utah is 4th with 53 wins. Denver, at 7, also has 53 wins. Makes no sense at all.
