Report: Blazers Considering Fabricio Oberto?

TheHoopsMarket.com has translated a report from Basket Dergisi that links the Portland Trail Blazers to aging Argentinian big man Fabricio Oberto.
Oberto spent a number of years with the San Antonio Spurs and played most recently for the Washington Wizards; it has been assumed that he will wind up overseas this season. Rob Mahoney had a nice summary of Oberto's situation last week over at Pro Basketball Talk.
Update: Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that GM Rich Cho says the team has made contact with Oberto but is "not close to doing anything" with regard to signing him.
