Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Kevin Pritchard on Courtside Last night (1-26-10)...

Anyone have that interview or a way to get it or give some light on what he talked about regarding the trade deadline?  The most recent archives on that show are from September.  They are really behind on getting recent shows up and would like to watch them the day after they stream, but I am never able to.

I heard the tail end of the interview and Pritchard was talking about the possiblility of needing a big man, as well as his thoughts on Greg Oden.

I listened to it

but I don’t remember any earth-shattering comments from KP, and I would usually remember those kinds of things if I did ;^)

I think he’s working the phones, he knows what the team needs (a center) and he’s going to try a lot harder to make a deal happen than he normally would, at midseason.

Vance and Allen were just talking about this on WaW. There are 11 WC teams in contention for the playoffs. The Blazers are currently 2 games ahead of the pace for the 9th spot in the west. The next 9 games before the AS break are brutal. By the break the Blazers could easily be out of the top 8, even if they continue to play well

Then we will see what we will see re: trade activity

When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

I'm going to listen to it soon

I hope he says he’s trading Miller for a backup banger.

I have reluctantly come to agree

Miller is the only money contract we have that is not long-term and he has played well enough for some GM to bite.

Miller has not moved us ahead as the team hoped. Disappointing.

"I could almost fall asleep when he's got the ball," Demopoulos said of Roy. "That's how comfortable I feel with him. He always comes through."

Blake and Outlaw won’t get anyone swell in return.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
