Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

And the photos have leaked to the internet. Photos are NSFW, obviously, but the Huffington Post doesn't show the naughty bits (I still wouldn't look at work).

Sorry if this violates the family-friendly nature of the sight, but the photos are all over the place, and I'm curious how the team is going to respond.

I don't see why it should be deleted

Huffington Post is a reliable source, my post is marked NSFW, and it’s Blazer related. This will affect Greg’s public perception, so I feel as though it deserves to be discussed.

But if a mod wants to delete it, I can understand.

by ilserpente on Jan 26, 2010 12:58 PM PST up reply actions

It shouldn't be, really.

But the last couple were, so I’m gonna assume this one will be too. I agree that with fair warning, it shouldn’t be off limits.

Yes! Yes! In the face!

I saw that thread but I didn't look.

Didn’t want to be thinking about that every time he hits the floor. Gotta say though curiousity got the best of me and I went to the huffington post. Is it just me or does that first pic look like LeBron James? Could be a set up.

by meatwad3 on Jan 26, 2010 2:57 PM PST up reply actions

I'm certainly not the first

But I’ve said it before, Oden looks just like Lebron.

My theory is that they’re both the love children of Jim Brown, the Cleveland legend.

Horrible Judgment

by Greg

This is going to be a bigger story (no pun) then the Blazers hope, and it will take Greg a long time to live this down. In fact, he may never live this down. Laughing stock

by moldorf on Jan 26, 2010 12:54 PM PST reply actions

Did you know

that Grady Sizemore did the same thing earlier?

I did, but had completely forgotten.

Same deal with Dwight Howard.

It will be easier to forget than you think.

by CleBlazer on Jan 26, 2010 1:05 PM PST up reply actions

I didn’t look at the story so forgive me if this sounds dumb, but was Greg’s incident meant to be public? The thing about Grady was the photos that were taken were only meant to be seen by his girlfriend and they were stolen from her laptop.

I was wondering if there would be mention of these photos

or just total ignorance like it didn’t happen.

Cowherd tore Oden a new one on his radio show, but Siciliano and Mychal Thopmson said they weren’t going to discuss it.

I wonder if it’ll make it on JRIB or to the talking heads on PTI or around the horn

by KBZ on Jan 26, 2010 12:58 PM PST reply actions

I didn't think it should just be ignored

Obviously it’s going to be all over the news, and it affects the team.

I think the team's public response

will be akin to putting their head in the sand and pretending it never happened. Privately, he should receive a healthy dose of “ARE YOU A COMPLETE IDIOT!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?”

I really don't think that's him,

Esp the third pic in the Huffington Post. We will find out soon enough, if it’s not him, the team or Greg would have an official statement stating that it’s not him, if it is, well…

Since you asked ...

Here, in no particular order are my thoughts on he subject:

1. I don’t know anything about this other than what I’ve read here.
2. It seems there is a possibility that the incident is a hoax.
3. If it’s not a hoax, it is nevertheless invasive of Oden’s privacy.
4. If it’s not a hoax and those involved are not minors (in whatever jurisdictions are involved), then it is probably not illegal.
5. If it’s not a hoax, it is not especially deviant by modern standards. Estimates vary, but it’s possible that at least 25% of teens and young adults have done this.
6. Can we get back to basketball, please?

I agree * 6

Honestly, it’s not that big of a deal to me one way or the other. It’s not like other 22 year olds don’t do this, and Oden probably didn’t plan on having this picture sent out over the web anyways.

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

To be honest I don't care that he'd send some nude pictures

Plenty of people do it. But plenty of people don’t do it, because in the end, they’re going to end up on the internet. Honestly, the whole thing is just humorous to me.

A kid being a kid...

…people will say he should be more responsible because he is a public figure but people should also mind their own business. This will be another learning experience for a young man who is a good person who did something stupid. We all have.

Get well soon, G.O. (And stop taking pictures of your dingy!!!)

I didn't look.

But honestly, I don’t care if he did. Look what it did for Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, etc. Maybe Greg will get a reality show now. Or maybe he’ll go live with Heffner. Gotta be better than some of those reality shows on T.V.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
