Ok, I want to start this Post off by saying that I dont really have any information on this subject, and so I'm mostly working off of conjecture. If someone has the time and resources I would love to see (and rec) a related fanpost (or even real post if dave/ben become curious to look into this as well...)
It seems as if we have several big things tying up our future. First off we already have Roy and Aldridge on big long term contracts, Webster on a less big but still significant contract, which will eventually eat into our ability to pay for a supporting cast. Add to this that if Oden gets healthy we will offer him a bigger and longer contract, and same is probably true for Batum. I mean I'm not sure how much Oden and Batum will be worth in 2-3 years but I am sure it is worth no less than what we are paying them now (esp. Batum)
Also on the list for more pay in 3-4 years:
Bayless, Fernandez, Pendergraph/Cunningham.
We do however have some EC's who we might be able to pay less (or get a replacement who we could pay less) in Outlaw and Blake (and perhaps even Miller in some time). Also I think that Webster is going to be prime trade-bait as he can provide a pretty solid rebounding/3pt shooting cog to a team in the future, which has some definite value in this league.
So I suppose this all comes down to curiosity to see how others perceive our financial situation. I see us having a very talented group, but that in 3-4 years when our current players really hit their prime, that this team will become unfeasible to keep together. I really hope someone can prove me wrong though :D.
