New Basketball League
The All-American Basketball Alliance announced in a news release Sunday evening that it intends to start its inaugural season in June and hopes Augusta will be one of 12 cities with a team.
"Only players that are natural born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league," the statement said.

In most cases, even with the government, racial makeup is a matter of self identification.
So you could just have your parents say they are Caucasian.

where there are channels, scholarships, and colleges solely dedicated to only African Americans. By the way I think this idea is ridiculous, but no more so than the segregation I listed above.

about BET putting country music on (When MTV didn’t show country music did that make them racist?), BET does show white performers (see: Eminem).

By the way thats a pretty interesting article, although I dont agree with the white person getting a free ride based the color of her skin.
I just think it is kinda strange to emphasize a sole race in any organization. I was just making those points to show how insane it is on both sides. And of course they are not going to have country music on BET, it was a joke my friend, kinda thought that was obvious. I just think people pick and choose to attack what they themselves perceive as racist, while not attacking segregation and racism itself.

Have you ever seen that SNL where Michael Jordan is the first black basketball player in history.

Actually reading the comments at the end of the article made me sick. People kept arguing “well black people have BET and black ms america etc.” and trying to equate this with those.
Ok for the sake of argument, lets say they are the same. How then, can you damn the BET on one hand and simoultaniosly say this is just fine?

i dont really have anything against BET
People were arguing that it’s no different than BET. Even if we assume that to be true (which i dont) they’re argument still makes no sense.
I’m pretty indifferent towards BET myself. I’m also pretty sure there’s no policy against letting any non-black person get any screen time at all on BET.
What I was saying is that BET = Racist Basketball League was their weakest arguement.
But it is the one piece you chose to refute (which you succeeded at).
I think the greater argument was designed to say, “we all intuitively know BET is OK. And yet Racist NBA is intuitively not OK. But they share these same characteristics.”
My personal opinion on the greater matter is BET is great. It is the positive expression of a group. Racist NBA is bad. The whole point is to exclude other groups.
