Let me begin by stating that I have no idea what topics are felt to be appropriate for FanPosts or FanShots...I believe Ben has a guideline somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Regardless, I'm guessing that topics of importance to the Arena are appropriate. Forgive me if this should be moved elsewhere in the site.
I'm just as sick of hearing the complaints about AT&T service as the next guy. However, it is nearly unfathomable to me that either AT&T is unaware or complacent of the incredibly bad service present throughout the Rose Garden for the iPhone.
Here you have a company trying desperately to dispel the "Maps" touted by Verizon, yet they have horrible coverage of a major sporting event location. This is a focal area where 20,000 people will immediately notice how truly terrible AT&T works. I know some of you, and sometimes me can get a signal. Some locations are certainly fortunate. But I've had the issue in the 200's, the lexus club level (non-blazers event...I'm no fancy pants), 100 level, courtside, in the beer gardens, walking in the concourse... Worse, the iphone will tell you there are 3-4 bars...but you aren't sending a text let alone making a call.
This isn't a venue like a symphony hall either...multimedia is flowing from phone to phone (well, on non ATT networks). The Blazers even suggest you text pictures to them for the scoreboard. Great idea! Let me go outside so I can do so...wait, no readmittance? #%^$#%^$!
I say we have all of our friends with a signal take a picture of our iphones showing them "searching" or "No service" and put those on the scoreboard. Heck, Verizon would probably kill for such advertising. Who has their number? I'm calling to make the suggestion...wait...ugh...I have no service...
