More Webster Praise in ESPN Awards Watch
Fifth for MIP:
"5. Martell Webster, Blazers: Webster might be better qualified as a "comeback" player of the year, but the Blazers swingman has hedged Portland's injury losses with some inspired play. He's also evolved into quite the defensive stopper, even if he couldn't shackle LeBron James on Sunday night. "
Also, Roy on the MVP list, no surprise there.

The way the that Roy has been putting the team on his back
and winning games for the Blazers almost single handedly, he should be getting a better ranking on the MVP voting, rather than all of these stars with FULL SUPPORTING CASTS!!

eh he still doesn't deserve to BE MVP regardless, though.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".
...no seriously--stop.
Agreed, but he desveres a higher ranking than 9th.

I love seeing Webster play good.
Webster and Oden, for some reason I just really want both of them to be great. I mean I want all our guys to be great, but those two more so than anybody. It makes me happy.
It looks like a legit list
Usually COY goes to the coach who happened to have the roster ready to step it into contention that year. The list there looks like all the teams that are truly over-achieving or just learning to win for the first time, which are real signs of good coaching. No coach on that list will win COY, but all are leading their teams to wins.
And nice to see Martel getting some recognition. The guy has been playing really hard lately and helping the team tons.
I can argue with the methodology but can't argue with the results
Dude has got a depleted team in contention for the division crown

people did forget to realize that webster limited lebron to 10 points in the second half
and it wasn’t because lebron sat out the second half of a blowout…it was a close game until the end..ish
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.
