That Martel is gonna come back and smash. He’s the real deal holyfield.

He tried to dunk on Oden?
Already? Wow…
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

You sir
Are a freaking lethargic devil, way to be positive about someone whose career is getting back where it needed to be.

Wow, that's a pretty daring move!
Sounds like he’s been wanting to do that for a while.

A newt?

best one liner i ever heard.
You know what would make me happy with regard to Webster?
If as part of his P.T. regimen, Martell worked on his handle. I’d love to see him drive to the hoop on a more regular basis. Play him close to keep him honest from downtown and he drives past you to the rack. Slack off to keep him from driving on you and watch him drain that sweet, picture perfect form, three pointer.
Chad Buchanan's comment on Batum is telling
He [Nic] plays more aggressive with the ball for his French team than he does for us, but that is because we don’t need him to be looking to attack as much – we need him to help keep the floor balanced and spread.

unless Batum or Webster are going to play backup SG for Portland, how important is it for them to develop their ballhandling skills? Sure, it would nice if they could pump-fake and drive around an on-rushing defender, but most of the time they’re going to “do a Portland” and camp out in the corner waiting for a kick out pass so they can toss up a three
When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
That corner three
is more effective if they can’t charge out at you to close it down, for fear of a pump fake, a couple dribbles, and a slam.
And we’ll fastbreak more, so having a better handle can be valuable.
Besides the fact we all know there is a possibility Rudy isn’t here in five years, and in any event guys miss games with injuries, so having these guys able to play backup SG is a good idea. In general, no matter what your offense, having both of your wings be ball handlers is a good idea.

Thank you, jscot!
Precisely the point I would have made. A multi-threat player keeps the opposition honest. A single-threat player keeps the opposition happy.
Yep, this is defintely the reason we didn't go after Chris Paul
You don’t need a point guard who can dominate the ball. That’s why they didn’t go after a Chris Paul or one of those guys. They don’t need it.
