I had always disliked the Allen Iverson that I saw on the basketball court and what he represented to me. At first glance I thought of him as everything that I dislike about professional sports: selfishness and a “me-first” attitude. But I can honestly say after reading up on him more and his journey to get to where he is right now, I have nothing but respect for him. It’s humbling, really. I am a big fan of Allen Iverson the person.

I really liked this video clip.

Allen Iverson has a bad image but I’ve always liked him off the court, and I felt bad for him when he went to Detroit. He tried to change the way he has played his whole career and it didn’t work. I wish he could finish his career in Philly. They LOVE him there.
