Paul Allen Looks A Little Bit Different

Check the following picture from Rod Mar's excellent Seahawks photo blog.

Blazers Owner Paul Allen got a little... um... hairier over the summer.

Pa_medium

Kinda reminds me of this.  Except not really.

Did he crash the Octopus on a deserted island? Is he back pulling all-nighters in the lab cranking out code because he's sick of the new Apple commercials?  Did Brandon Roy's new contract extension include an incentive provision that handed over Allen's personal Gillette? Is he so bitter over Turkoglu fleeing for Canada that he is, gasp, slowly morphing into Hedo?

How do you explain the new beard? Help me out please.

Should Paul Allen start repping Blazers gear as hard as he's repping Seahawks gear in the picture?
Yes. Get him a throwback jersey and headband, please.

Not really. The occasional red polo shirt is sufficient.

No. It looks weird when an owner wears team gear.

I am humorless and find this post an irrelevant affront to this blog's decency.

New cost cutting move in order to keep up with his fellow billionaires.

Razors cost money. Can’t afford to spend any. Got to scrap together enough to pay LaMarcus Aldridge, one penny at a time.

He had a big ol' hairy beard when he was younger, too.

I like it.

"Aneurysm".

When Outlaw wins a game on a last-second shot, it’s called an "annthefaneurysm". QualityPie

Of course he looks way better with the beard

though this one is still a bit too short in my oipinion….

I remember being some kind of shocked the first time a saw him shaved…

The poll is missing an option:

“When did Paul Allen get a job at the post office?”

Still on the Rex bandwagon.

Does he really need an ID Badge?

Maybe that is a championship beard.

Thanks for the clock!

I get the paper, so I don't care!

Senility setting in?

I don’t remember him doing anything in Sunday’s game for him to get the “game ball.”

As I said before, I never repeat myself.

It's his Popovich look.

Paul’s going to take over coaching the Blazers when Nate leaves to coach the Lakers. It’s his money, his team, and his championship run. Plus he’s got to do it before Cuban does!

His game plan is to get the ball to Brandon.

He looks more like "Cousin It" to me.

Once he shaved he resembled a very short version of Lurch. I think I just dated myself.

That Seahawks photo blog is great

Nice huge pictures, not cluttered with a lot of text or other visual garbage. Very clean. A nice alternative to slideshows full of smaller pictures. I’d love to see something like that for the Blazers. Is there one out there and I’ve missed it?

Oh come on guys....

he’s been MUCH hairier in the past. Here he is in 1979 (lower right corner), with 10 of the early Microsoft employees.

Bill Gates looks like he is 10 in that picture….

Paul made a bet with Travis Outlaw.

For every game Travis couldn’t get seven boards or more he would grow his beard for a day. Get ready to look like Rip Van Winkle Paul.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
