And btw
blazer highlights are 10 times better than other team highlights
"shaq and zach randolph have the same trainer... "
best one liner i ever heard.
Those were great.
Anyone else notice how many of those highlights Sergio was in?
"The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over."
Looking back at the list...
I can’t decide which one made me yell louder as it happened: Brandon’s game winner against Houston, or Rudy’s oop, steal and three against Phoenix.
Brandon’s was huge, but Rudy’s 5 points finished off the hopes of the Suns, and essentially clinched a playoff berth. It was a giant moment as it happened.
Hopefully this coming season is at least as fun, huh?
Roys Shot Against Houston May Have Made The Season
That was the biggest play all season long for Portland.
At that point, Portland was 1-3. We had the game won on a clutch shot by Roy, and then lost it on a clutch shot by Yao.
We were about to be 1-4 on a tough loss at home.
Then Roy’s rainbow went in, and Portland was 2-3, and undefeated at home.
If Roy doesn’t make that shot, I think the season may have been more in line with everyone’s expectations. In game 5 of 2008, they learn that they are NEVER out of a game — which would earn the team at least 4 more victories over the season.
I'm with you
Mainly because Roy’s game winner came so early on in the season, I think it had a greater impact. But also, the tension built up from the entire game and the back and forth of Roy/Yao led to the most exciting scream-your-head-off finish I’ve seen in years.
i'm really happy they included the greg oden block on lebron james
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

it's missing batum over pau and lamarcus over dampier. too many blocks and alley-oops.

that is a good sign
remember when it was hard to come up with a top 10 highlight reel which eventually ended up being ten plays that nobody remembers happening?

I know the Houston shot was a game winner,
but that dunk on Chiek Samb was just AWESOME

It was a game winner, too
That game was still close, but after that, everyone knew….

Man I still get tingles watching those
That Brandon shot always brings out a EEEEE from my stomach everytime I watch it.

absolutely
I also love seeing every single person in the Rose Garden jump up and scream after that shot goes in.

9 of 10 were at home
With only the Roy over Samb dunk on the road. Do you think that’s because the Blazers pulled out more spectacular stuff at home, or is it because the people selecting the plays were influenced by the crowd reaction?

probably crowd reaction, though the blazers did play better at home

I watched the Clippers top ten
The Eric Gordon dunk that prompted the Roy dunk was on it. I hadn’t seen it since then, because they never show it. Roy robbed Gordon of the meaning of that dunk, AND ruined Samb’s career.

He's like some sort of basketball king, reigning through the sheer power of his dunks.

It's been a while since I've seen the Samb facial
with the original sound intact. That sound should be a part of every video compilation, regardless of the soundtrack they put it to.
The scream of the victim is so powerful.
It wasn't the first time I'd been kicked in the cherries and called a rat by a woman, but it was the first time I didn't mind.
I was there for 4 of those plays
10. The Oden block on Lebron, the Outlaw dunk vs. Chicago, the Rudy 3 for the Rookie 3pt record, and the Oden vs. Milwaukee block.
Good times
Blazers win!
Well Laaa-DEEE-Daaa!
…I wish I’d seen some of those live. I did get to see Rudy’s record-setting three live, but I wouldn’t have minded going to a few more games last season.
They only put the Rudy 3 in cuz it was a record breaker
Aldridge over Dampier should have been in the top 5

Bedge thinks that both LA over Dampier and the Bayless in NJ dunks were better than
than the roy from rudy and the bayless from sergio
