No I know that Roy will sign an extension but I'll believe that it's done when someone else besides Canzano says something
Red Hot and Rolling
True that.

2 questions ...
1. I keep hearing 4 years with a player option on the 5th, but I thought we could offer 6 years. Larry Coon’s FAQ seems to bear that out. Can someone clarify?
2. The amount of money can’t actually be determined until the salary cap is set for next season, correct? Again, Larry Coon’s FAQ suggests defines the max as 25% of the cap, so since the cap could be dropping again next year to the 53 million range, we could be looking at a starting salary of 13.25 million?

1) we can offer up to a 5 year extension, which when added to his current deal, would mean 6 more years total. contracts can be up to 6 years in total length. this year upcoming counts toward that total.
2) correct. and 13.25 as the 10-11 salary is a pretty good estimate for now.
How did you guys win that?

I think Aldridge should get about 5 years 70 million. Maybe even a bit more.
Guy is going to be an all star soon.
I'd say the minimum for Aldridge
is what Barngiani (sp?) got from Toronto. 5 years at 60 or 70m sounds reasonable to me.
So far only Canzano has reported a verbal agreement.
ESPN is just reporting that the Oregonian is reporting that they are near a deal. Looks like he figured it was coming based on the Quick’s story so now he can say he was the first to report a deal was reached whether it happens on Wed, Thurs, or whenever.
