Decade's TOP 10 Defenders
I love these lists, even if they are just opinion pieces. Still this one barely relates to the blazers in one way. Over the summer we have argued back and forth about trading for Kirk Hinrich, may argued that he was an upgrade defensively, others didn't think so. Well for those on the "upgrade" side, here is some more ammo for ya.

Seems about right.
Although, I think what this list illustrates most, is that there are a bunch of different types of defender. I’m not sure how you can compare Ben Wallace to Bruce Bowen, they are doing two completely different things.

I love the comments on that article
half the people didn’t read the part about it being the last 10 years and the other half want to know why Kobe isn’t on the list. And one lost soul though Sasha Vujejic (can’t spell his last name) should be number 10 instead of Kirk.
"It’s a good ol’ fashioned Rip City beat down!"
hahahaha
The whole time I was praying that Kobe wouldn’t be on the list. I noticed he was in half the pictures, so I got pretty scared. But alas no Kobe = the best kind of Kobe.
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Good list
A lot of times lists like this will include a bunch of star offensive players like Kobe Bryant, who really doesn’t deserve to be on this type of list if you just look at his defensive accomplishments. Dwyer does a good job of making a list based on defensive ability rather than star power.
Love the list
Probably would have given Lebron at least a shout out, but I understand because it was only until last year he put the extra effort into D#. What I thought was interesting though is that all the players that played for the olympic team last year showed a real commitment to defense in the league, and all 4 teams in the conference finals had a player that was on that team. It seemed to me that something just clicked with all those guys and brought what they learned back with them. More Carmello than anyone he impressed me last year.
