Update: Alternate jerseys for this season

PrintIt looks like the Blazers are going to have an alternate jersey for this, the fourtieth anniversary of the franchise. Shirts, pins and jerseys can be found here. It also looks like there are going to be "Hardwood Classic" jerseys (in the style with Portland written vertically), but I don't think that they are going to be worn during games. My friend was on the fan advisory board a while ago. When they asked about alternate jerseys, the Blazers just said they had "something in the works." I guess this is it. Thoughts?
Update: According to oregonlive the Hardwood Classic jerseys will be worn during games.

i dunno, i still like the jersey's they have now.
so i hope they won’t change it too much in the future. it’s clean and classic and works.

I totally agree.
The LA Lakers, Yankees, Red Sox, Celtics, etc. never completely redo their uniforms and as a result they’ve become iconic. It doesn’t matter what era you watch video from you know what team is playing. I think that’s awesome and the Blazers should try to make that happen by tweaking and NOT overhauling for the forseeable future.

What I found very interesting...
is that Jeff Pendergraph is on the list of “custom” players you can get. Was he signed officially?
On another note, I’m going to definitely get one of these when I have money. Undecided as to which player.
If they end up selling a Pendy jersey and he never signs with the Blazers
that could be worth some change
He was at the rookie photos shoot wearing a #31 Blazers jersey. Unlike Dante and Patty as far as I can see. But KP already all but officially said they would give contracts to Dante and Jeff. And the coaches (Nate, Townsend) talked about their plans with them.

If they actually wear the “rip city” jersey for an official game, that’s dumb in my opinion.

after that, it’s just for sales purposes. I wouldn’t mind seeing them wear the red throwbacks a few times this year thought – Christmas for one seems obvious

Not really, the rule is that your home jerseys should be white as the base color. The Cavs used their old yellow-red ones an awful lot last season. And the Wizards used old golden jerseys reading Zephyrs more than once, too.

So there is a rule
After I typed that, I realized that I was thinking of the NFL and their limit on alternate jerseys, which is something like 2 games.

They should have put "Rip City’ on the retro jerseys and ‘Portland’ on the new style jerseys.

I don't like the rip city jersey's.
I have a feeling that showing these outside of portland is going to lessen its meaning, and bring a lot of smacktalk.

They'll never wear those on the road.
Special unis like that are always worn almost exclusively at home so that the home crowd can see them and, as a result, be convinced to buy them.
i am not 100% liking them for regular season
but…they are better than the ones that say “the city” for GS or “el heat” for miami heat. or we could be like PHX and just change it to PDX.

whats with the el heat or the los bulls jerseys tho?
as bad as the Rip City ones may be, i still think they are better than a few of the regular season jerseys for some teams…like the old mustang horse on detroit and the cartoon raptor.

My favorite were the green Bulls jerseys. And yes, there are way too many crappy logos and jerseys in the NBA and sports in general.

to see the rip city alternate…I hope oden ally oops several times and we blow the team out.
i want them to switch unis during 4th quarters that we are down to the RIP CITY ones
like how the mighty ducks switched uniforms in the jr olympic games in might ducks 2 to beat iceland.
