With the way our team is currently constructed I (like most BEdgers) believe that Outlaw is the most likely person to be traded. However, I don't see a trade coming between now and the end of camp so that we can really see if Martell is healthy and we have more cap room after cap holds on Euros clear. Therefore, I am here to propose some 1 for 1 trade options for a PF that fits our team.
Option 1: Big Baby Davis and 2nd round pick. He came on strong in the playoffs last year with the absence of Garnett and would provide a good option off the bench behind Aldridge.
Option 2: Outlaw & cap space for Jeff Foster. Foster is a reliable veteran big man who is a very good rebounder and adequate defender. I would even argue that acquiring Foster could make Prz available for a bigger trade.
Option 3: Ronny Turiaf is the perfect energy big man as he has a very high rate of blocked shots and he can hit the 15 ft. jumper. Also, his effort level and intensity are never questioned which is something that isn't always true with Outlaw. I may even substitute Brandon Wright for Turiaf as he has alot of upside but needs to pack on alot of lbs to effectively guard bigs.
Option 5: Outlaw & 2010 2nd rd pick for Darrell Arthur & unprotected 2010 1st rd pick. With this trade we pick up a good PF prospect in Arthur who is a player similar to Outlaw just not as good at this point and not as perimeter orientated. IMO Arthur would be good complement to Aldridge as we would have him focus on rebounding, defense and knocking down the open shot. The most important aspect of this trade is the 1st round pick as it is definately lottery bound. With ZBo in Memphis the minutes are definately limited for Arthur and Outlaw can back up both Gay and ZBo.
