The game starts at 19:30 in Canarias, which means 20:30 in the rest of Spain and 11:30AM in Portland. But broadcasting is delayed and won´t start untill 21.00 (Spain), 12:00AM Portland Time. What a mess!
Clarifying: WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WATCH THE GAME STARTING AT 12:00AM PORTLAND TIME.
Someone, preferably myself, will post a TV internet link in this thread.

You can also look for a link here (click on "21:00 Basket: España - Cuba"). Remember that sometimes the links in this site don´t appear until the last momment.
Finally, there´s a link to follow stats, play by play, rankings, etc, but I aware you that it´s "live", I mean half an hour before the game broadcasting. Read twice before you click on here.
Rockets fans and Timberwolves ones are welcome. They have Sergio Llull and Ricky Rubio, or at least their rights.

I think I just figured it out by looking at the Spanish time. FYI…it’s much easier to understand, if you say 12 noon or 12 midnight. Just saying.
Maybe we could start with France vs. Spain at 11:00 am and then switch ;)

i was wondering how you were going to explain the “delayed-time zone” stuff, it really is a mess. 30 min to go! I need my fix of ÑBA, even if it’s only an easy friendly.
France leads Italy 41-27 at half. Nic Batum w/ 12 pts 6 rbs 5 stl. Return of Parker helps a lot, and Florent Pietrus is good too.

in real time, the 3rd quarter has just ended. Cuba made an amazing comeback and leads by 2 (not really).

What’s the story of the game, aside from Cuba not being very good and Spain is great?
not much
Spain is a bit rusty, low 3pt percentage and some errors in defense. But Cuba is very inferior.
Ricky isn't playing much and has 0 points. Claver is repping the Blazers
and Rudy is, of course, Rudy.

Cuba
sucks. I like how hard Rudy was playing. Pesky hands on defensive. Couple big shots. Creative passes here and there. Let’s start the season.
story of game
Spain pretty much scoring at will, and now that they’ve got a lead, not even working too hard at it. Cuba comes down every time and I guy goes 1 on 1 desperately. Rudy looked very confident. But again, this is like scrimmage. Ball handling solidly.
Spain breaking, going to the basket, Cuba frustrated has started to foul hard Spain now settling for jump shots

comes in the game. Go into globe trotter routine. He’s the man of the future. Game plan changes. (before i meant Claver looked comfortable, making freethrows, hooking up with Rudy, etc. Not the pizzazz that Rudy has. But that goes without saying.)

The highlights of Cuban basketball seem long past. A bronze medal in 1972 in Munich, and some success in the 80s

Reminds me of a guy for the national team of Trinidad and Tobago contacting Hoopshype to help him find NBA players of that decent. I was able to find one who plays in Spain, the last NBA players are long gone.
