Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

I put this link in the Nate photo as well. I thought it would be wort its own shot. Nate was on Bill Nye the Science Guy many years ago. His spot is at about 2:55 in the clip. I show this every year in my class as part of the human body (the whole show). Nate does a fine job as an actor!

I love when Nate says: "Science!"

Rec’d into oblivion, thats great.

Especially after Meru posted the picture of sweaty Nate: http://www.blazersedge.com/2009/7/31/970894/nate-mcmillan-rookie-year-87-tied
(that looks like 4 liters right there)

Dictated, not read. The management.

I have AWAYS wondered why no one has ever asked him about this TV cameo.

it's probably in Nate's contract

that he never has to see that episode played in public again

He did great!

It’s a kids show. All they care about is that there is a big, strong athelete dunking, and making a behind the back shot without looking. :-)

I thought he did a good job

but I doubt he wants to see it replayed on the big screens during a ballgame

oh and you know his players would be howling

and Nate would be doing a slow burn and trying to get them all re-focused PDQ!

HAHAHA

Dave! please show this to Casey so Nate can see this hahahaa.

Or someone email it to the Blazers website. gahahahah

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

New respect for Nate

That was remarkably well done.

it's the haircut

and I’m not going to say anything more about it than that

Really? You're gonna go there?

Okay Soc 202. If you’re insinuating what I think you are…(insert expletive).

Yes, it was the haircut. Maybe I should have said, “he sort of reminds me of David Robinson”. Would that pass the college freshman rabbit ears litmus test? It was an off-the-cuff thought, which is why I qualified it with “a little”. When Nate’s cheek bones were “a little” more prominent, his hairline and the position of his ears with that haircut seemed “a little” similar to David Robinson to me when I watched that video clip, though Nate’s facial structure isn’t as angular. I wasn’t saying Mike Tyson or Bill Cosby dude.

That’s a lame accusation to level on someone you don’t know.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
