Pay This Man
I think stealing him from the lakers would be great, fits the team perfectly. If he gets pissed about LA trying to short change him, and he's cool with just one ring (for now) then lets make that big move

I'm alright.
I don’t think he fits our chemistry or culture AT ALL.

why?
I keep hearing this statement but I’m not sure why? Because he plays for the Lakers? I’m not trying to call anybody out just seeking clarification.

you're just to hollywood to understand

No man, I have no idea what they are talking about. Took less money, and a smaller role so the Lakers could win a championship. Has dealt with more trauma in his life so far than many of us (hopefully) will face in our lives. Plays some great basketball, is a confident dude, had some problems in college, which he dealt with and grew past.
In my book he, as a person, is more than just an alright guy, and I would have absolutely no problem taking him on our team.
If the Lakers themselves don’t pay the man, that would be pretty messed up.
JAWESOME!!

Not because he plays for the Lakers specifically
But because of his attitute on the court. I’m not saying he’s not talented, but I don’t think he uses his talent to the best of his ability, and I don’t like some things he’s done on the court. Hammering BRoy to the ground when he had a hip problem comes to mind, as does coming off the bench to get involved in the “fight” that was taking place after the Ariza foul on Rudy. Plus I didn’t like his initial attitude when he was going to be coming off the bench as a Laker. He plays lazy at times and is extremely inconsistant. I’d rather put my money on a guy like Brass or Millsap.

I dont see why
him putting hard fouls and backing up a teammate make him undesirable for this team. In fact those are the types of things we were missing early in the season and were actions that many blazers were lauded for when they finally started standing up for teammates.
He may have been upset about being shuffled around in LA, but what he did with his diminished role speaks louder than his initial reaction as he went on to be very valuable contributor throughout the year. Also, I think being tagged as lazy is more of a perception than a fact as supremely gifted players often look lazy as the game comes easily to them. An example of this is BRoy who was criticized by Lorenzo Romar for being lazy, and it was just a function of how effortless the game is to him. As for his inconsistency, that sometimes comes when you are in a reserve role, especially with a deep front court like the lakers, as your role may be changing from game to game depending on things like foul trouble and matchups.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
I will talk about DeJuan Blair no more forever
