Cavs reach for Frye
Cavs want a four that can shoot from the outside to clear space for Shaq. Sounds like the perfect home for the Buffet.

He deserves a top caliber team
Draft Cole Aldrich 2010

A little more bulk and he would have the Robert Horry thing down.
He’d be good on teams like the Cavs where offense comes only from LBJ to spot up shooters.
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

good for him
He’ll hate living in Cleveland. (I’m from cinti, so I know what it’s like) But he should get some good, regular minutes there and would enjoy his time on the court.

have you been on Redszone.com?
I’ve got some Red’s fans I’ve been chatting with for 12+ years, on one forum or another
When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

No, I only talk about the Reds in real life.
Is your screen name for Jason Larue?
If so, that’s awesome.
I wanted to “Concepcion” on here, but nobody would get who I was talking about.

If the Cleveland Cavaliers want a veteran power forward who's an efficient mid-range jump shooter, it's ...
a one-year, $1,990,000 deal for Antonio McDyess would be the smoothest route. Alongside Shaquille O’Neal for roughly 28 minutes per game, McDyess would the perfect complement for the “Big Aristotle” on offense.
That’d leave Zydrunas Ilgauskas as O’Neal’s backup at center and a hole at the reserve power forward spot. I, however, expect Anderson Varejao will ultimately re-sign with the Cavaliers, since the market for him in free agency will dry up in these tough economic times. Yet, even if Varejao leaves Cleveland, the Cavaliers would be better off re-signing Joe Smith than bringing in Channing Frye.

I agree, however...
I think, of the two, you’re much more likely to get Frye on a contract like that than McDyess.

McDyess is staying in Detroit or going to San Antonio, says the rumor mill
If you want to trade our spare parts for Devin Harris, I have three quarters I would like to trade for your dollar

Wow, Antonio McDyess must really, really enjoy Detroit if he's willing to re-sign with The Pistons.
Oh, and if McDyess is up for another go-around in Motown, then that already foolish signing of Charlie Villanueva will thereby look like an even more ridiculous move.
Regarding the San Antonio Spurs, it’s too bad that Ioannis Bourousis re-signed with Olympiacos to a three-year, €5 million contract. Bourousis would’ve been the perfect replacement for Fabricio Oberto; yet, that ship has sailed, with Gregg Popovich’s eyes now set on Tiago Splitter in 2010.
As it further concerns the San Antonio Spurs, I don’t feel that Marcus Haislip was the correct choice to replace the recently traded Kurt Thomas. Holding out for McDyess would’ve been a better, albeit more risky plan of attack, as would’ve making a run at Maciej Lampe before he signed a lucrative deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Anyway, I can see the Spurs having difficulties with its interior defense on the second unit with Haislip and DeJuan Blair playing alongside each other. Popovich would probably be much more comfortable with Blair and McDyess coming off of the bench — while Haislip garners spot minutes when the bigs ahead of him have foul trouble, suffer injuries, et cetera — but that might not be in the cards.
In all honesty, Rasheed Wallace would’ve been the optimum fit for the Spurs; he felt Boston was the best destination for him, though. Yet, on behalf of San Antonio fans, I hope that Wallace in Beantown doesn’t lead Popovich to make a foolish decision like signing Glen Davis to a lengthy contract worth all or part of the mid-level exception.

I'd rather see him in Pheonix because I would feel like I could cheer for him because
the Suns are one of the teams I like to watch and don’t feel any particular enmity toward, unlike the cavs.
