Wade wants to be on a title contender. Even with signing extentions for LMA and BROY could and would Paul Allen just go over the cap and get Dwade for an almost sure thing multiple rings type session in portland? We wouldn't need to get a PG and we could trade current assets for a Banger PF.

I know nothing about cap space and such but is this even possible?

Lopsided trade

but Miami won’t agree to it, at this time. Maybe at the trading deadline, if the Heat were losing money and not in contention and they thought they were going to lose Wade for nothing in July?

Still a bad idea, Roy and Wade are not a starting backcourt

When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Im talking about signing him as a free agent after this year.

I dont see how wade and roy would be a bad Idea they would be unguardable and wade is a good defender and you could always have batum out there for defensive matchups.

Can't happen.

Roy and LMA have their new contracts by then, which is going to take us out of the free agent running for years to come. Don’t expect to see us under cap for a long time.

Anything can happen

Wouldn’t a sign and trade work?

And technically, if we didn’t keep a bunch of our players next year who’s contracts expire, we could be under the cap. It’s unlikely, but as we’ve seen this summer, stranger things have happened.

That totally could happen.

Probably won’t. But if it does, we won’t get him. They’ll trade with a team who is willing to offload good young talent in exchange for an all-star SG. We already ave one of those. I suppose he could play point, but it would cost us at least LMA , Rudy and future picks for Wade, a player who we’d get 3-4 months out of before he splits and the end of the season, which he would.

It would have to be a sign and trade

No way would we rent him for 5 months.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
