New logo?
I have to say, I liked Lewis and Clark better. Sputnik? What are we, Communists?

The Twitter comments I have seen so far were mostly negative
Ben said he didn’t know about a pending change
If you want to trade our spare parts for Devin Harris, I have three quarters I would like to trade for your dollar
Is it a symbol that no matter where you are, a moderator is looking over your shoulder?
It’s got a big brother, “eye in the sky,” feel to it.

That was a crappy logo... Clip art meets Photoshop incompetence...

It's cheese is what made it awesome.

Is there any way
to vote or something to bring this guy back? What does Sputnik have to do with Portland or basketball or anything?
I love ya old BE logo
Honor Alaa Abdelnaby.
First in the NBA. At least alphabetically
It should be at least a pinwheel instead of a basketball
I dont know if that infringes on some copyright though.
Yeah I asked Dave about making a favicon a while back
He told me they are not allowed to use pinwheels, but this logo is pretty fugly though
Garden Variety Internet Denizen
WORD UP.STAY.FRESCO
DUDE SERIOUSLY!!!
Why is the pinwheel impossible to draw! I’ve tried hundreds of times and have never got it right! I don’t know how people at the rose garden make signs with the pinwheel.

never liked the L&C logo myself
was thinking afor a while it was time for a change. not sure if the new one is “change I can believe in” though.
How did you guys win that?
"We scored enough points. We scored 107, they scored 105.

Blazersedge
Don’t overlook the fact that the site has a new name, too.
Keep in mind that everything I know about basketball I learned on Blazers Edge.
oh, i didn't notice that.
hmm.

I like the logo, hate the text effect...

Bring back Lewis and Clark!
Or at least feature the Portland skyline without the creepy War of the Worlds logo!
Text wrap needs to go.
Either take the text out completely or make it fully readable with a different font. I’d also like to see the rose garden in there, and maybe the pacific ocean instead of a barren wasteland. Just my opinion.
"The successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way." - Dale Carnegie --- Same goes for the Blazers. Thanks Houston.
this is kinda what I was thinkin'...

I don't mind the Sputnik-themed logo, as it means we're catching the attention of the world, but...
…I dunno about the word-art. First, need to correct “Blazersedge” to “Blazers Edge”… Second, when did BE become trademarked?
I like the Portland skyline as the only thing on the planet worth seeing tho lol…. shouldn’t it be the RG tho?
Blazers win!
Gotta get Mt. Hood in there.
If we can have Mt. Hood in the logo, I can tolerate the scary space ball.
For a second, I thought it was a ball breaking through some glass surrounding the Earth.
"SAY NO TO HEDO." Well that campaign FAILed.... Success!
From an angle of enterprise and daring
I could see that space exploration and trail blazing have something in common. I’m inclined to leave it to Houston, though.
This logo leaves me feeling much the same as I do as a voter in most high-level political campaigns… “This is the best we got to choose from?” Of course, in this case, I didn’t get to choose between two equally undesirable alternatives – I had one crammed down my throat (but I guess it isn’t “my” website, so… whatever.

I just noticed the favicon.ico changed as well
I must say, my bookmark looks MUCH better.
Hmm...
Blazers Edge is now one word and Trademarked. Some legal reason?
Also, yep I don’t like the new logo. Outside of showing Portland as the Basketball Satelite flys overhead, I just don’t get it? How is that at all reflective of the franchise or the fan base? At least the cheesy Lewis and Clark tied directly into the NW as well as the idea of “Trail Blazers”.
Satelites? I don’t get it.
"Mother Nature started this fight, I think it's about time we ended it!"
Anything can be trademarked.
You don’t have to fill out any forms or anything. You can just be a TM after it. Actually I don’t think you even have to do that: if you use a term as a trademark (name for a product or service that you are providing), then it’s considered trademarked (as long as it doesn’t interfere with an existing trademark).
If you want to make it a little more official you can register it, and then you can put the R in a circle after it, but that’s not necessary.
Keep in mind that everything I know about basketball I learned on Blazers Edge.
