Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Link to a new piece I just ran up on SS&R.

Yeah, I know, it's about a Laker... But wouldn't you rather read about the nutty buddy that your least favorite team is now saddled with for three years than gouge your eyes out after reading FanPosts 15, 16, and 17 about Hedo Turkoglu???

This is a long piece with swell pictures and two or three not-suitable-for-BE naughty words slipped in there somewhere just to demonstrate yet again that "pottymouth" and "serious" aren't mutually exclusive concepts. Hint hint.

No, I still don't like Ron Artest — but at least now I don't hate him quite as much...

So many incidents, so little time. I also missed the "I'm still ghetto" comments...

thanks Timbo

There’s a lot to like about Artest but erratic, unpredictable behavior is a deal breaker in the entertainment industry, or any other business.

I giggle when people talk about bringing him to Portland. Ummmm, I don't think so............

Bringing him in

Is a heck of a lot better then Marion as a lot of people have suggested around here today. @ least RON RON dont give up on any of his teams. But oh well. I don’t think there is a way to steal him from the L*kers is there. Could it be that RON RON is true to his words un like some 1 that has a name that rhymes with stupid dude(gawd I am like the king of bad jokes today…..werd lol)

What's the differance of 3-6 mil? oh about 20+ more losses, and the chance to watch the only star leave by the end of the season. Suck it Hedo!

Canzano is a damn joke. When you see him kick him in the ass for me!

What about the Kings?

"I don’t have the first clue who he is talking about, because all I worry about is Jerome." – Jerome James, on comments by coach Nate McMillan about Seattle SuperSonics players being selfish.

I'd Rather Have Artest Than Marion or the Turd

At least you know he is going to give you effort every game and not take games off (except to promote a new rap album or to cover some shifts at Circuit City…. wait they closed, so we’re probably safe). I have a feeling that Nate could act as a father figure to him and get some productive years out of him. I don’t think he has played under an African-American head coach for any length of time in the NBA, maybe that would help.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
