If not CP3 limited options

Nash and Kidd are too old to lead us to a championship .  We could try  a lopsided trade for Wallace or d Harris but the other team has little reason to trade. The Answer is  not the answer.  That leaves Marion and a Miller, neither of whom can hit the 3 so opponents can pack in middle. We must deal before we sign Roy and our cap space ends.  I would love to hear another option.

nash and kidd are still good options

they aren’t expected to be with us for the entire duration of our run…but just bridge the gap until the pg of the future steps up.

Nash and Kidd were good options five years ago.

Unless the NBA starts a Senior League to go with the D-League and the WNBA, those two grandpas make no sense for anybody…

They would both be great options

They both have at least two good years ifnot 3 plus in them. Nash has numbers that blow away most of the other suggested point guards. Kidd makes everyone he plays with better. We could use a verteran presence on the floor who can find that the other 4 scoring options.

Why would we have to?

I’m pretty sure all three of them would take league minimum to play in Portland.
Add in a reasonable trade of Blake+Travis for CP3 and you got yourself a decent starting 5.

Other teams won't part with their best players

Nash and Kidd are looking for longer, more expensive deals than it makes sense for us to give them. There will be good deals in this free agency, and the Blazers need to be smart about how their spend their cap space.
