I hope he does well except against Portland
I think we’ve had two capable backup power forwards in Diogu and Shavi, but neither of them got a chance (Diogu did get more of a chance, to be fair) due to the depth at that position. Now, we have Pendergraph and Cunningham, and I wonder if either is as good as Diogu and Shavi. Oh well, its only the backup power forward.

I agree. I think he could have filled our "banger off the bench" role everyone craves so much if he just would have got more burn.

why? so he could miss more put-backs?
My lasting memory of Ike in red/black is a guy who could muck for rebounds but didn’t have enough explosion to dunk in traffic and repeatedly missed bunny lay-ins
and if you aren’t good enought to beat out Channing Frye…what does that say?
better banger, still needed. Diogu had his opportunity
When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

at least he was better than ruffin
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

i would venture a guess...
that he holds the single game record for consecutive missed bunny lay-ins.
i’m glad i’m not the only one that remembers him this way.

I wish Ike all the best
But I can’t see this helping NO at all.

Well, they are going to be the new Suns really.
Lots of offense and no defense. I don’t think Chris Paul has Nash’s soccer legs either.
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

frankly
I think we should have kept him and used him more as this banger back up PF everyone is talking about. Did you see his stats in Sac-town? Fairly impressive….
