just post the link instead
"shaq and zach randolph have the same trainer... "
best one liner i ever heard.
Works fine for me
I edited and put in the link anyways.
Did you notice Nate also said
“one of the areas where we felt we need to add to our roster this summer was a beast of a four”?
We’re still waiting for that beast, I don’t think you can say Pendergraph was it. (DeJuan Blair might’ve been the beast, but his knees scared KP off, I guess.) So, is KP really done dealing? Not until “the beast” is added to the roster…at least to Nate’s way of thinking

That is the first thing I noticed
He didnt have to say anything about the 4 as he was asked about Miller. I think we are still in the hunt for a backup 4 because we sure havent added any “BEASTS” at the 4 yet. I completely agree with you.

after listening to Nate
it sounds like he will want MIller to be on the floor at the end of games, so Andre can make split-second decisions with the ball and “sniff out” what the opposing defense is trying to do against Portland (Nate’s quotes were “he has the know-how…he has a high BBIQ…he has a great feel for the game…his mind is almost like a coach in the sense of what plays to call, who to get the ball to…understanding the time/score situation…”)
I’m not sure how Brandon and Andre are going to share the rock in those late-game scenarios, it will be interesting to see if Roy “defers” to Miller and how the two guards play “off” of each other
Parting shot re: Bayless…“Jerryd will have the opportunity to watch and learn from a very good PG in the NBA”

That Bayless comment was funny... and sad.
I really can’t imagine Bayless sitting on the bench another year. It actually might be best to just trade him if that’s the direction they’re going.
I don’t believe Bayless will learn much just from watching. He needs to get a feel for the game, which only comes by playing. You learn with your hands, not with your eyes.
What “beasts” are available anyhow? I honestly can’t think of anyone who’s available. Jason Maxiel perhaps?

Great pickup
Big Baby really shined after KG went down. I’m pretty surprised he’s still available. That man is truly a beast. He would be a fantastic pickup for us. How could we get him? (What money, roster spot, etc. do we have left?)
Not a beast.
Certainly not a great defender. Terrible rebounder (59th in rebounding rate).

My favorite deal (this week) is Travis and Rex for Jeff Foster and Travis Deiner
Foster may not look like a beast, but he know all the veteran tricks and can play the 4/5 when needed

That's a really terrible deal.
Not sure either of those guys would make the rotation. Bayless is better today than Deiner has ever been, and no that’s not an exaggeration.
There’s stuff to like about Foster. He seems like a pretty good defender to me. Pretty tough. Above average rebounder. Not a better player than Outlaw though, even if he fits the backup PF role better. He’s also six years older and more expensive.
You would basically be downgrading both spots. I wouldn’t trade an injured Patric Mills for Travis Deiner, and I wouldn’t trade Jeff Pendergraph for Jeff Foster. Trading real assets like Bayless and Outlaw for two guys no one wants seems pretty silly.

AK1984 took this idea and made a 3 way trade with NJ
Outlaw to Indy, Rex to NJ. Foster and draft choices coming back to PDX. I’m not looking to “win” the trade, I’m hoping to add a veteran PF who can help the team win in the playoffs
Maybe down the road we can discuss Travis and cap-space straight up for Foster? There’s no hurry until February

Really? I sure hope that never ever, ever ever ever happens
Witty Unpredictable Talent and Natural Game
I really can’t imagine Bayless sitting on the bench another year
How is Jerryd any different than Sergio when he “sat” behind Blake and Jack his “sophomore” year?
Rex is under contract, where’s he gonna go? Nate and KP will tell him the facts of life

Sergio sitting on the bench didn't work out so well.
I’m not saying Bayless will complain, I just don’t think he’ll develop like he should.

of course this will stunt Jerryd's development
but he doesn’t have the “luxury” of being added to a 20-30 win team, like Jack and Sergio did when they were drafted
