Hakim Warrich becomes UFA-SIGN HIM!
He becomes a UFA because Memphis want more flexibility, i think we need to go after him because hes prolly cheap and is effectice backup PF

Didn't we use all our cap space signing Miller?
Call Brandon Roy by his real nicknames: The Natural and Roybot. Lets put an end to "B-Roy"

If we renounce Koponen and Freeland we will have about 2 million left

not necessarily
3 years at 21 mil could have been structured “6mil – 7mil -8mil” over the next 3 years, that would mean KP has left himself some “wiggle room” under the cap to make “lopsided trades” with Outlaw, Bayless, or both of their combined salaries x 125 + 100k (well over 7 mil) if he can find a willing trade partner.

With 8% annual raises, a three-year, $21 million contract couldn't be constructed in that manner.
It could look something like this, however.
2009-2010: $6,500,000 (Guaranteed)
2010-2011: $7,000,000 (Guaranteed)
2010-2011: $7,500,000 (Team Option)
Well, there you have it.

Trade Outlaw to Memphis for 1st Rd pick
Then we will have money to sign Pendegraph, Dante and Warrich
Draft Cole Aldrich 2010

I think the organization is past the point of needing first round picks. Cash needs to be involved.

Were never past the draft
and aside from picks themselves having value especially a team like Memphis’s this trade gives us Cap Space back
Draft Cole Aldrich 2010

i love this idea. but i find it hard to believe any team would be willing to give up a first for outlaw straight up… especially a team as bad as memphis.

it was rumored that trout for a 1st rounder would have happened
with memphis if utah hadn’t matched on millsap
by KitIsh on Jul 24, 2009 7:54 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
that's what Givony said
but since Portland didn’t get Millsap, I think KP still needs to fill the backup PF position more than to pursue another draft choice (unless that Memphis choice was an unconditional #1, but what are the odds of that?)

The Memphis Grizzlies no longer have the cap room to absorb Travis Outlaw's contract.

Well, I must qualify that the Memphis Grizzlies will no longer have the cap room to absorb Travis ...
Outlaw if the team ultimately renounces its rights to Hakim Warrick as a means to sign Allen Iverson.

i doubt the grizz
will give their first rounder for outlaw, considering its probably going to be a lottery pick.

I would just throw out Leon Powe
as another player we should look at with Warrick. Both get lots of rebounds, shoot at or near 50 percent and don’t hurt you in a lot of ways.
On the other hand, as we still have the three-small-forward problem, maybe it is better to keep giving Outlaw some minutes at the four. I also actually liked the twin tower look we busted out at times in the Houston series.
by Charon on Jul 25, 2009 12:26 AM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Powe probably won't be able to play next year
He’s still recovering from injury.

i dont trust
outlaw with the back 4, he is to inconsistent for my liking i would not mind trading him for a back up PF then that solves two problems at once get rid of the log jam at the 3 and gives us a solid back up to lamarcus
by BLAZERS#52 on Jul 25, 2009 7:22 AM PDT reply actions 0 recs
i like the group of SF we have now if we grid of travis then if we see we need an upgrade we can do it at the trade deadline
by BLAZERS#52 on Jul 25, 2009 7:23 AM PDT reply actions 0 recs
IF we got warrick.....
outlaw would have to go no way those two co exist on the same team. They are the same player. Warrick is outlaw with a little less sho and outlaw is warrick with less post game. Would be nice if we could have both but i dont see it happening…..

HW wouldn't be
a bad pick up for a backup PF, but the price is probably too high, unless he gets no other offers and his price drops.
Brandon Roy, 'nuff said.

Nets are said to be after him
I wanted the Nets to draft him when he came out the Cuse but they passed on him for…..Antoine Wright …also passed on Danny Granger Nate Robinson and David Lee
