Why not go after Jamaal Tinsley
I think he could be a good fit in the backcourt with Roy. He is a bigger guard and is heck of a point guard. I have heard he has been working out in Atlanta and is in good shape. Indiana finally waived him and I think he will be really hungry to prove himself. I know he had the off the court stuff but I want to win. He is also a better player than Andre Miller. What do you think?

Well that didn't take long
Don’t think we want a guy who was not invited to training camp and was asked to stay away all of last season
Just a hunch though
I don't know the full story but I believe he has had issues with the organization for a while
Isn’t a good sign for his character but all the more reason he could come out really hungry. I say unless he wants to play for peanuts then i’ll pass.
Why not Pacman Jones??
He’s really got someting something to prove and I heard he really knows to cross fools up. He’s a little undersized at 5’10", but he’s scrappy. Plus, Portland has lots of scrip clubs.
Michael Vick
could be a good court general as well, great character guys.

If you know KP and his “culture” mantra, you wouldn’t be asking this question.
Sounds like a part from the new johnny depp flick Public Enemy
Tinsley was connected with three late-night conflicts in a 14-month span.
He was there when Stephen Jackson fired several shots into the air before being hit by a car at an Indianapolis strip club in October 2006.
He faced a felony charge of intimidation and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidation after a bar fight in Indianapolis in February 2007, but agreed with prosecutors last year that if he stayed out of trouble for two years, all charges would be dropped.
In Dec. 2007, someone in a truck fired shots from an assault rifle at three cars carrying Tinsley’s entourage outside a downtown Indianapolis hotel. Tinsley wasn’t hurt, but Pacers equipment manager Joey Qatato was struck in both elbows as he sat in one of the cars.
He actually is a badass pg—but hes also had to much trouble to ever come to PTown. Atleast thats my guess. Good find though. Any news is better than no news at all!! ; )

While we're at it
Let’s go after Latrel Sprewell, Qyntel Woods, or Ruben Patterson while we’re at it?
Why not stick a hot poker up my ass?
There are some questions that the answer is so obvious, you don’t need to ask.

I figured this had a better chance of earning me a temporary ban ...
… than getting rec’d green.

Ouch.
from the above-cited story by Bob Kravitz…
* * *
In the end, Tinsley outmaneuvered the Pacers by doing absolutely nothing, by sitting on his backside and collecting paychecks. That’s certainly galling. The Pacers will still have to take a cap hit these next two years, courtesy of Donnie Walsh’s misguided decision to extend Tinsley’s contract years ago.
Still, though, it’s not a complete loss. Because Tinsley is gone. Because the stench of the TrailPacers days is gone. All the primary figures who brought so much shame to the franchise are playing elsewhere.
Tinsley’s departure also frees up a valuable roster spot. Josh McRoberts just re-signed Wednesday, giving the Pacers 11 guys under contract. That doesn’t yet include second-round pick A.J. Price or free agent Earl Watson, who is expected to sign next week.
Finally, there is closure.
The TrailPacers era is over.

Artest is a great Pickup for the F@kers but Tinlsey's a Bum?
I just don’t get how all is forgotten with Ron-Ron, O’Neal and Stephen Jackson but Tinsley is the plague. It does not make sense. If we could get him for cheap and try him out for a year than I think he would help the team win games. His stats speak for themselves and the off the court stuff being shot at (his fault?), Stephen Jackson firing a gun (his fault?). Barkley is one of the best but he used to get in bar fights all the time. I think Tinsley deserves a shot! (no pun intended)
When was the last time Tinsley was playing well?
It was a few years ago. I don’t see the need to get a guy who is, at the very least, questionable character wise who doesn’t bring a level of play we could benefit from.
The last times he was playing, he was bad. He coulda’ been pretty good at one point, but injuries and being told to stay away from his team (something that didn’t happen to a well-liked-but-crazy Artest, or Sheed) have taken their toll.
Tinsley isn’t a player no mo’.

Artest and Jackson have at least had one season where they behaved since their troubles
It’s not much, but at least with those two there is some evidence that they can behave under certain circumstances. Tinsley’s just a total crapshoot.

Plus neither has been accused ...
… of dogging it.
Lazy, poor decision making and a bad attitude – yeah, just what I look for when trying to build a team.

Free would be too much to pay for Tinsley.

You will all eat your words when he gets picked up and has an allstar year and then I will come on hear and there will be Tinsley posts. I want to win and in order to do that we need to pick up a talented point guard. He is and will be again.
If that happens ...
… I’ll consider taking that poker I referred to up the oriface I mentioned.
Only if it is not heated, of course.
