why would this worry you?

if the blazers can imrpove their starting lineup by dangling bayless, i’m all for it.

a) players drafted outside of the top ten have a pretty low chance of being all stars
b) bayless hasn’t shown yet that he’s going to be a key cog for this team
c) players that play as few minutes as him their rookie year (and a lot of those minutes came when blake was hurt) have long odds of achieving greatness

that said, i like bayless a lot… just am more than willing to trade him to improve at pg or sf

It doesnt say that they used Bayless

in any scenario involving Miller, just that they have talked of moving him with rival teams. I would hope that conversation went something like “Hey Memphis I will give you Travis and Bayless for Conley, Deal?”

Nah...

If Portland was gonna dangle Bayless, they’d have let him cut loose in Summer League again so he could trick the NBA into thinking he could average 30ppg.

No reason to dangle him for Miller

Miller can be had without giving up anything. We don’t even need to clear a roster spot. Given Bayless’ dirt cheap salary, it could be part of the infamous lopsided trade.
