Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

On Hoopsworld's chat with Portland guy Jason Fleming, I just got the question below answered...I feel much better now!

Josh in :
Jason, what do you make of Chris Sheridan publishing his article on Rudy Fernandez's unhappiness about the Blazers' pursuit of Turk? It seems sensationalized and poorly sourced. The Oregonian blog ran a post saying it isn't that bad. Is it? Thanks!
Jason Fleming:
Rudy just re-iterated it's not true at all, so there you go. He will welcome playing with Hedo, which is good, since they would have very different roles. Last Rudy question, I promise.

Glad to hear it!

I’m a lot happier signing Turkoglu if I know that he still wants to play in Portland.

Finally some closer to this god affle rumor

GL getting espn.com to publish this though. Next season halfway through we’re gonna hear some stupid announcer talk about how Rudy almost left the Blazers because of Turk and give their opinion. Kinda like having to hear about LA’s slight from Roy from years past.

John Canzano

will bring it up as a topic again, when he gets tired of talking about yellow hummers, loading docks, marijuana in tin foil and night clubs

But I think Jaynes is right, Rudy will eventually have to be dealt because he plays the same position as Brandon. Dwight and I can still remember the days of Jim Paxson, Clyde Drexler and Drazen Petrovic

That pretty much sums this whole deal up

so well said.

The Spanish Armada was sunk and the Turk won. I hate revisionist history.

The Battle of Lepanto (off the coast of Greece near Corinth) on 7 October 1571 was one of the most critical battles of naval history. The Spanish Don John of Austria led the European forces, mainly Spanish. Lepanto was a crushing defeat for the Turks who lost all but 50% of their ships.

the spanish armada seems to have had trouble more than once

but on land, leading in effect an “insurgency”, i still marvel at cortez

It will be born again,

I’m so happy to hear that Rudy’s not acting like the prima donna I supposed he might be. Viva la Espana.

Hedo And Brandon Roy

in my opinion along with our center rotation, and wing players will be a potent force indeed. For example, Imagine if that Orlando team that faced the Fakers had Brandon Roy. That’s why Hedo’s a great acquisition, Because of what Brandon Roy can do.
