Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

The T-wolves' Roy envy is well documented, but now we have more players to covet. And with Rudy's alleged discontent, they see an in (and if I was a wolves fan, I'd want a 2 guard too). Seems like the idea is Flynn for Rudy or some such deal, so- yes or no?

Just posted over there

I think Rudy has some worth if we were to shop him. I don’t think Minnesota has anything that we could use in exchange for him. They would have to do a three way with a power forward hungry team.

Rudy for Rubio... straight up.

Tell Minny they will never see him so they might as well trade him while they can stilll get something.

I think I'd let that idea simmer for another year or two

And if Rubio stays in Europe approach Kahn with this proposal, plus let him take a bad contract (Hedo?) off our hands

It sounds exactly like those guys over at Blazersedge with Bayless.

or people trying to say that Rudy is better than Turk...

and they are talking about right now. 5 years down the road you have an argument. I talk to propl that are fans of other teams and a lot of them say that Blazer fans and the managment tend to fall in love with players and overvalue them… I used to disagree but anymore I think it is true.

I most certainly overvalue/love our players!

(So why don’t you marry them!)

Because prop eight made it illegal down here.

Nope

we’ve got plenty of talent in the cooker at PG in J-Bay … why take a step back in athleticism and a experience while costing you a solid SF? bad idea all around in my book.

patience my son ...

Rudy for the rights to Rubio

Great for both teams. In two years we can start:

Rubio
Roy
Claver
LMA
Oden

and run roughshod over the rest of the league.

My vote, let Rudy go

1st off, Sergio started it by making demands of the Blazers in the Spanish papers, then Rubio is threatening to not come over because Minnesota is too cold, and now Rudy takes a Sergio-like shot across the Blazer bow and passively voices displeasure. I’ve grown tired of the Spanish prima donna armada.

2nd, I agree that Turkey will cause a logjam in PDX. There really seems to be too few minutes for the players we will have, esp since Rudy will be asking for 30 mins a game.

So, here’s the trade I propose with Minny…

PDX trades Rudy & Outlaw and the rights to Claver
Minnesota trades Flynn, E Thomas & 2010 or 2011 unprotected 1st pick (whichever works)

This is just a trade idea that may or may not work contract wise, but seems reasonable talent wise.

Anyway, just a thought.

I actually like Flynn alot.

He’s my pick for best PG in this years draft……with that said, he doesn’t fit with Bayless still around, thus he’s not worth giving Rudy up for.

I honestly think when Rudy has the chance to sit down face to face with management, he’ll realize he’s still a big part of this team, add of of this will blow over in the end.

Minny has nothing we want.

Except Rubio.

Keep in mind that everything I know about basketball I learned on Blazers Edge.

Al Jefferson

Would look nice in a Blazer uniform, if not for his contract and the part about “no minutes being available at the 4”

i think there's room for both

Rudy and Hedo. Especially if you think of Hedo as our new starting point guard. I don’t see anything wrong with a late game lineup of Hedo, Roy, Rudy, LA and Oden.
