Rubio Will Stay in Spain For Two Years
This might be great for teams like the Trailblazers. At least, there is always an option of trading for Rubio if we want a change of pace.

Good for him...
By far the best choice he could have made. Now he’ll get paid and wont have to worry about the buy-out. Plus being 20 when he does come over will make him much better. And who knows, maybe he’ll be coming to some other team.

Wouldn't it be funny...
if the Wolves decide they aren’t going to wait for him, so they trade him, and the very next day he pays the buyout and comes over?
Won't happen.
He dropped his trade value a ton by saying he’s staying in Europe. But if for some crazy reason they did trade him, it could happen considering he doesn’t feel Minnesota is a good situation for him. If they traded him to the Knicks I’m sure he’d reconsider coming over.
So if we sign Hedo...
what do you think it would take to trade for Rubio. Could we just get rid of a few players that are just going to ride pine anyway? He could be a longer term investment. Victor Claver, Outlaw, and Rudy? I mean if Webster shows up that kind of makes Rudy no longer useful. Webster can play the 2 and 3 and his shot is just as good as Rudy’s… all this assuming Webster’s foot wont be an issue anymore.
My theory
Is that KP signs Hedo, then in a couple of years he sends Turk and Rudy to Kahn for the rights to Rubio
By that time Turk will be getting old and Rudy will be going crazy because he can’t get enough minutes playing behind Roy
And by that time, Ricky will be 20-21 years old and ready to step in and lead a championship-caliber ballclub
anyone know what a # 5 pick makes?
It looks like Minnie is going to be eating that much cap space for a while.
Depends on the salary cap
comes out on the 8th
