Millsap never actually spoke with Pritchard or McMillan?
"From what we learned Saturday, though, Millsap never visited Portland, never spoke on the phone with GM Kevin Pritchard or coach Nate McMillan and didn't get a July 1 call, raising the question of just how interested Portland was in actually having him.
Paul Millsap never managed to picture himself playing for the Trail Blazers, even acknowledging the obvious Saturday: 'Everything about Utah is a better situation for me and this ball club. I'm right where I want to be, back in Utah,"-Salt Lake Tribune

Wasn't there some report that he had talked to both Nate and KP about stuff?
Seems like the Blazers made the offer low enough that they new the Jazz would match, but large enough that it would still force them to move Boozer.

Millsaps agent said so
Vartanian insists that Millsap will be whatever Blazers coach Nate McMillan wants him to be. He said Millsap and McMillan have already engaged in lengthy conversations about his role. The two have exchanged cell phone numbers and will become more closely acquainted next week when Millsap takes part in Team USA practices in Las Vegas.

Different agent, different quote, talking to SLC newspaper
The fanshot link was an article where Millsap’s cousin (Simmons) talkiing to a reporter from the Salt Lake City Tribune, as opposed to Millsap’s “other” agent (Ara Vartarian) talking to the Oregonian a week ago. Color me not surprised that the two agents spin a different “version” of the Millsap negotiations
and it doesn’t really matter how much Millsap and McMillain “did or didn’t talk” now, does it?
Jazz fans and their front office might be a little hacked off at Portland/KP re: Millsap and the toxic offer, but really no more so than Blazer fans were “up at arms” re: Trenton Hassell, back in the day
When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Oh hey, how'd your offseason go KP?
Well it went pretty good. First we got Hedo a giant contract and then, just for fun, we got Millsap a giant contract. Now we’re just debating whether or not we should help David Lee out. We could have gotten Lamar Odom a big contract but seriously, screw that guy. He’s always trying to get into our huddles and dissing on Portland’s beach scene.

We've got to be doing pretty good.
We’re being portrayed as the villain wherever we go. We’re going to be facing that a lot from now on.

Trade
Will we question Pritch ever again if he pulls off a trade in which we land someone like kirk by trading someone else player I.E Boozer. without giving anyone up by forcing Utah to make a move?

We didn't force Utah to do anything.
They ended up paying Millsap about $1M per year more than what they had already offered him. That doesn’t change a thing for them. They had already decided to move Boozer if possible. This forcing Utah to do something stuff is just spin.

Of course its better for him in Utah.
He’ll be a bona fide starter when Boozer leaves.
He used us just like we used him.
