Dude, where's my Greg?
Shouldn't he be at summerleague? 10 fouls per game that's about as close to NBA situations where he can be the focus and develop chemistry with bayless and condition himself for the season. How is he not there?

Summerleague more for rookies and guys going to Europe
Nothing Greg could of done at summerleague would have influenced his role for the regular season so what’s the point? He’s going to be in Vegas for the Olympic Scrimmage so the Blazer staff will beable to asses his progress.
Can’t wait to hear how he does.

Kevin Love and Kevin Durant aren't there
The last thing Blazers fans and management need is Oden getting injured by some jerk who’ll be playing in the D-League this fall.

Greg could've been on the Vegas bench "coaching" the Baby Blazers
like Druant was, with the OKC team
Or he could’ve stayed away from the microphones and cameras and continued working out with Bayno in Columbus
As a Blazer fan, which one would I choose…hmmm?
And we know Greg will be in Vegas next week, working out with team USA. Less fanfare, better quality competition and coaching—what’s not to like?

He's over 21
We don’t need him doing coke, playing blackjack all hours, drinking Cristal, and carousing with hookers.

Or do we?
Hmmm?

handcuff Bayno to him
like Ben Stein with Shaq?
Absolutely NO “dancing” at Big Al’s for Greg, this offseason

Nate said he wants Greg to be playing at 260!
Than he can start looking like this again:

Lets keep in mind Oden was 19 back then.
lets just hope he is able to get back to that since its hard to tell how much muscle he put on due to simple weight lifting and how much by just natural growing

He's in Ohio
Watching Cold Case until 4:00am

According to J Bayless, when he went to work-out with Greg, they did a lot of “talking”.
"Both Anthony Carter and Jameer Nelson were downright jubilant in the Magic locker room postgame. Carter said to no one in particular, "Brandon Roy, that man is unstoppable, it's like he's playing NBA Live" and Nelson was cracking on his teammates for not being able to guard Brandon. The kinds of jokes you can make when you win."

Bayno has told a different "story" to Wheels and Barrett
but who knows…Bill may not have been babysitting Greg, last week? Or maybe their workouts didn’t start at the crack of dawn?

Oden gains no benefit by going to summer league this year.
If he struggles with foul trouble (which he is undoubtedly likely to do given the rag-tag bunch of guys surrounding him all game), he’d just receive more undue scrutiny from the media.
If he does well, said media will just attribute it to “summer league” and not give it a second glance.
Plus he could get hurt unnecessarily.

yes, all of what you said, plus
Big men generally don’t do well in Summer League. It’s a league dominated by guard play. So, even if we thought some summer league would benefit him he’s already at a disadvantage compared to say, Bayless, because of the nature of summer league.

He is probably just working out and trying to enjoy his summer. He just needs to stay in shape and keep
working with the coaches. Summer league is a waste of time for him. You don’t get better playing against scrubs.
