Memphis Grizzlies not happy Utah matched Millsap. They had a trade in place for Travis Outlaw for a draft pick contingent on that. Ben tweeted about this earlier today, I looked for a fanshot/post but didn't see one, which surprised me. Would an unconditional 1st round pick be "enough" for Travis? I thought the Griz and KP weren't on speaking terms? (things that make you go hmmmm...) I've been speculating for awhile that Memphis would be a good "landing zone" for #25, but Trout and Rudy Gay seem to be a bit of a duplication, skills-wise. This "news" confirms my suspicion that KP already has a deal in place for Travis, but it hinges on the Blazers first filling the backup PF position with a 4th quality big man (Hedo, Millsap, Odom?) Can you imagine "nothing" being done and Outlaw coming back to PDX for fall camp in September? Not me. That "bridge" hasn't been burned yet, but KP's been "flicking his Bic" for the last 2 weeks, at least
