KP is making a last grasp for Free Agency and will be watching us scrimmage at Powell Park tomorrow from 6-8pm. He'll see why standing pat isn't a bad choice. Come one, come all.
Bring:
- Ball
- Water so you don't pass out
- Black & White shirt/jersey
Here's a few things you can do at BEdge Bball that you can't do online:

So let me know if you can make it...We got about 8 already. We had a good showing last time and if we have a bunch this time, we can run two courts.

Last time I think we ended up having nine people show up, but it still ended up being a blast.
Also made me realize how had badly I am out of shape
Would love to but I strained a ligament in my elbow a while ago that just got diagnosed correctly
So in addition to no lifting basketball is a no go as well, So you won’t have to worry about me showing you up again ;)
we just split into teams and run...just for fun...nothing serious

My strength is ball-handling and my slasher mentality.
My ball-handling may be great but I turn the ball over a lot on passes. That’s why I’m better suited to play SG of SF. I almost never lose 1 on 1’s. Not really a super tall freak or a dunker. Too short to dunk. (5’ 10" 130 lbs)

but doesn’t look like I can. I’m not even in LA, I’m in Seattle and would be coming to Portland by tomorrow or tonight… Everything seems to line up BUT I was playing ball yesterday and rolled/sprained my ankle pretty bad. Crap. I would have loved to play with you guys. Maybe I’ll stop by.

It's pretty bad. The worst accident I've had with it.
You can see my left ankle is swollen. The picture was taken last night, it’s about the same size but more stiff today. It’s hard to walk, let alone play basketball. Believe me I would, I’ve played through a bad back. I just don’t want to get any one’s hopes up.

Same here, I live and work out of LA. And have been jealous evertime I've read one of these posts.
Ironic that I’m finally up here but physically unable to play.

i am good for six fouls, the occasional charge, and lots of staying back on D during a fast break. also, vomiting after 10 minutes of exercise. I make up for all this with a sweet Aldridge jersey.

I might be a little surly this time because I’ve got a roommate that’s pissing me off in a major way. I’ll try not to explode, but I will be venting a lot of aggression.

a nice court=
one with no pot holes, bent rims, and or backboards with large pices being either bent and or broken. i havent been there since 2002 but last i remember it was a pos court.

you’d have to get a court cause sometimes they are all being used 6-8pm on weekdays

There are two courts w/ full size hoops at 49th and Belmont
I play soccer out there; I’ve never seen anyone other than a few kids on the courts. They’re a shool playground, so not the best, but it would be quiet and private.
There's also a Nike court at Westmoreland park
Westmoreland park isn’t too far from Cleveland HS court you guys went to. It’s between the baseball diamonds and the casting pool at Westmoreland park. Generally not too busy and it’s one of those red/yellow Nike ones similar to the one that you guys were playing at over on 26th and Powell.
Also, if you go over onto Holgate up a few blocks to maybe 32nd, there’s a elementary/middle school that has covered hoops, for when it’s really hot.
There's a nice court at the elementary school by my apartment
It’s covered too, but there’s no lines and all asphault
It would be a good option tho for a Vancouver alternative
