For all those who think Milsap can't play Center.
I read an article with quotes from Milsaps agent saying he could play three positions SF,PF,and C. This proves at least one of them correct.

there is video of Kobe blocking Yao. that doesn’t make him a center.
I do think that Millsap can play some spot minutes at center, but not consistently.

Agreed
And I am on record since the beginning of the season last year of being a big Millsap fan. But consistantly at the 5…I don’t think so.
And the 3? Pfffft.

true
but it was an on the ball block which is a lot harder than the weakside blocks that most players get blocking centers.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
I will talk about DeJuan Blair no more forever

Kobe’s blocked Yao not from the weak side.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvXxHptH0pI Still doesn’t mean he can play center.

We all need to remember that most teams
backup centers are usually smaller than the starters so with Paul Millsap being 6-8 250, it shouldn’t be much of a problem for him. It looks like Yao will miss most of the season anyway and plus there can’t be more than 10 centers in the league that can pose problems for Millsap.

The agent also said Millsap can shoot the three
Millsap has shot ONE single three (out of 11 attempts) in his entire career.
I can play center for the Blazers too. I may not be any good at it, but I can do it.

Millsap can manage center better than most of you give him credit for.
There are only a handful of scoring threat centers in the game. Many of them, like Chandler, you just have to keep a body on them. Millsap can do that. He can get by most of the bigger and slower guys on the other end. Now obviously you’re not going to ask Millsap to guard the Shaqs, Yaos or Howards for any intentional period the game, but he can manage quite a few centers.
Lets just put it this way, I’d rather have Millsap playing center than SF 99% of the time.
