I wouldn't be suprised if Hill is rookie of the year

He is very similar to Amare and we all know how well he did in Dantoni’s system. They’ll run and Hill can run with the best of em. Get to the front of the rim and dunk it. It will be interesting to see.

Too bad. And the West just keeps getting stronger.

Man I’m sick of the West being so tough. It seems like almost every team will get better except Phoenix.

by dario argento on Jun 30, 2009 7:55 PM PDT reply actions

For sure we're getting better! I just always hope the balance of power will shift back to the East a little bit,

so we’re not stuck playing playoff caliber teams almost every night. Yes there are merits to playing better teams every night, but it also prevents us from getting a few more easy wins to get a higher playoff seeding.

by dario argento on Jun 30, 2009 9:19 PM PDT up reply actions

I hope so

that way everyone will stop linking him to us

Cant wait til Hinrich is traded to some other team so we can stop talking about him to the Blazers

Collegiate stats:

NCAA Arizona:
Jerryd Bayless: 19.7pts, 4.0 asts, 3to

NAIA Wisconsin-Stevens Point
Terry Porter: 19.7pts, 4.3 asts, 2.33to

Well, if Detroit signs Ben Gordon as is being rumored

your prayers will be answered, ‘cause the Bulls will then hang onto Cap’n Kirk

Blake and Bayless…woah baby!

with boozer opting in

Det mmay be left in the cold this FA season. Now they have loads of $$ to throw at Gordy.

well, OKC could just take "the leftovers"

if not Lee, then Millsap. Anything would be better than keeping an undersized Green at PF, for them

by two4larue on Jun 30, 2009 8:47 PM PDT up reply actions

They won't get Millsap.

Utah will keep him. NY will not keep Lee.

utah can't afford to keep millsap

Sure they can

They’ll just trade Boozer in a lopsided trade (better than letting him go in FA).

by ninjasocks on Jun 30, 2009 9:03 PM PDT up reply actions

i don't see that happening

by Zaron5551 on Jun 30, 2009 9:14 PM PDT up reply actions

Why not? That's exactly what I would try to do if I was running Utah.

Boozer is sure to leave after next season, and they have a chance to lock in Milsap for years to play next to Williams. If they let Milsap walk this year they will likely be out a power forward next year. I think this is exactly what they will do.

by dario argento on Jun 30, 2009 9:22 PM PDT up reply actions

They can’t keep both Millsap and Boozer, even for one year. Boozer not opting out screws them.

by Cablinasian on Jun 30, 2009 9:23 PM PDT up reply actions

let's hope so

KP had better not come snooping around, asking for Krirlenko…

but Jersey still holds that title.

"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."

-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.

"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."

-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

Not all of Texas is desolate and brown.

It’s pretty here in Austin. And the sun shines waaaaay more than Portland. But Oregon is still more scenic. And everyone around here are Spurs or Rockets fans…

I really hope Lee goes to OKC on a long-term deal. It uses up their cap space, assures they will have a worse draft pick next year, and does nothing to address their lack of interior defense. A lineup with Durant-Green-Lee as the interior defense isn’t going to win a title.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
