Dead money and cap ballast
"The Memphis Grizzlies already have stated they have no intention of re-signing the 27-year-old, who had to serve a 10-game drug suspension before being allowed to play last season, and it already was clear Memphis' main motive in signing him was to affect the Blazers' cap flexibility -- in part to keep them from being the type of under-the-cap trade facilitator the Grizzlies and Clippers were last season."

The real jerks are the guys at espn and everyone else who said that the Griz where just giving Miles a chance.
Now, as soon as it is over they admit that they knew it all along.
The jerks are the people who maligned the Blazers for trying to defend themselves from such an action.
The Griz are jerks, but not nearly so much as the media was.

Objectively, that was a shrewd business move by the Memphis Grizzlies.
If I can get over the Seattle SuperSonics relocating to Oklahoma City, then y’all can get over this trivial matter.
Well, most Blazer fans aren't exactly thrilled with the free agents this year.
Can’t say how much this hurts the Blazers. Seems like everyone wants to trade for Hinrich and unwilling to pay any free agent over the MLE. Does that $9 million really make a difference except Allen’s wallet?

maybe Devin Harris
would be less pipe dream and more reality?
money talks, right now KP is “all hat and no cattle” because of the Griz
Is it just me
or could this be opinion masked as fact?
It would be nice to see at least the mention of a source for this.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
I will talk about DeJuan Blair no more forever
What part of it do you mean?
There are facts certainly, but the value of a player is usually an opinion.
The part that
the Grizzlies only did this to hurt Portland.
