Bayless, Kanales, and Medina left Ohio yesterday and are heading to Arizona to work more extensively with Jerryd. This was information relayed by Brian Wheeler in the first hour of the 6-3-09 edition of the Wheels at Work radio program.
As Ben said, KP likes him some Bayless. It sure looks like there will be a lot of attention paid to him by the coaching staff.
Medina will be on Wheels at Work tomorrow at 1:05 to talk about working with Greg in Ohio.

yeah
Hopefully Bayless will call Greg every day to see if he’s in the gym.

remember the “Gregory Wayne… Wayne Oden” line that Bayless gave Greg during an interview? They sound like good friends.

This is good news
It sounds like the team is trying to increase the trade value of Bayless.

You have no idea how close you have come
With this idea.
I know a Blazer legend who confided in me just last week that Shack was offered to us before the midseason break. Sun’s management wanted one of our prize rookies not named Oden, plus some fillers’, they were ready and willing to pull the trigger.
Blazer management turned down the deal but it was a very close vote.
I wish I could reveal more but I cannot, but trust me it almost happened.

I heard about shaq not being willing to play backup
Lets say it was Batum, or Bayless, neither of them did much in the playoffs with shaq vs. Yao we would probably won that series and then the lakers and we could have beaten denver with out Shaq so then it would have been Shaq vs. Dwight in the finals we should have made the deal seriously it that is all they were asking for him they should have done it for a year, then this next year Oden could learn from Shaq first hand, Only I don’t think that is the role Blazers management would have used Shaq, Shaq wouldn’t accept a tutoring position or something like that.

one of our prize rookies not named Oden
I was like “Huh? Why would they want Batum?” until I realize u were probably talking about Rudy. He would be perfect in the Phx run and gun system. Oh and Bayless too

What's funny then, is how we got Rudy
The Suns sell him to us, buy Shaq by trading away one of their better players, fire their coach, try to trade Shaq for the guy they sold us.

I shouldn't say sold him, but sold the rights to his contract
Does that sound better?

I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up going back
They do sound like pretty good friends, so it stands to reason he might head back that way when Medina or whomever drops in again.

WE WILL STALK YOU WHEREVER YOU GO BAYLESS!!!
Count me as absolutely ecstatic if he comes back able to keep his vision up and pass like a PG next year.

Don't really get why they couldn't do that in Ohio with Greg and Conley and Co.
But well, they will know best where to work out. And at least it sounds like Bayless is getting the full attention of the coaching staff.

Well that just blows =/
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

I hope they didn't leave Greg alone. He needs someone there to monitor him. Not that I don't think he
doesn’t know what he is doing, or is incapable of motivating himself, but these trainers need to be looking at Greg’s diet. He needs to drop some weight.

I think it has just as much to do with what part of his body he's working out
I don’t think you call him fat…upper body huge yes. I read somewhere recently about him talking about doing squats for the first time since the surgery.
I agree with you about his diet, I just think his work out routine needed to change too. it would be great to see him in the 265-275 lbs range
C*mcast sucks!

Greg's work ethic is fine
Wanna know why he was out of shape coming into the year? BECAUSE HE HAD MICROFRACTURE SURGERY.
The guy worked his butt off last off season, but when you’re injured the work you do only helps so much, and in his case, possibly be a negative. Now that he can actually work on his lower body he’ll come back next season in better shape than he was at any point in this season.
