The WORST grade?!?!?
D-, that’s pretty shortsighted. SInce Pritchard clearly didn’t want Blair, which BTW no one else did either. He wanted a Euro player in the first round for cap hold instead of salary. With the first two 2nd rounders he wanted Channing Frye and Trout clones to free them up for trades. And with the final pick (unmentioned in the grading) he grabbed a third string PG that he can stash overseas if needed.
These may not be exciting picks, but if you are grading a team, it helps if you actually know what they wanted to accomplish. He makes it sound like we wanted two starters out of the draft. No one outside of the top 5 would even have a shot at starting on our squad. Poor analysis all around.
Blazers Prophecy.
3-5 championships in next decade.

Well, the Blazers did have a poor draft IMO
All the grades given over at hoopsworld were a bit lower than most other sights.
The Blazers reached for Claver and I agree with the hoopsworld assessment that Pendergraph will be a on-factor for the Blazers if he makes the team. The Blazers didn’t have to take Blair, but they certainly didn’t need to move up to get Claver.
In the end, we drafted our third string players in this draft, nothing better. I would say that defines sub-par. Par=C, so D seems accurate.
The Blazers had a sub-par draft… no biggy.

yahoo gave us an 8 out of 10
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

I don't get those things
They made a mock draft and were way wrong so then they grade teams on whether or not the team did what the website wanted them to do. None of those picks have played an NBA game yet, I don’t get that stuff.
