Spurs have done the best out of this draft
First the Jefferson trade then they get DeJuan Blair in the 2nd round. What kind of Jedi mind trick did they pull on the other teams to let DeJuan Blair get that far down in the draft?
I don't understand what is going on with Portland. I guess any deals they have planned are yet to come. I hope they stick with Bayless. He is going to be a great player in this league. The next year will show that.

Seems to me this draft was all about clearing cap space.
We will see KP’s true wisdom soon. Besides, we got got my guy (Pendergraph). Out of all the players written about through the workouts it seems like everyone was most impressed with Jeff. I predict we will make another trade for Kirk after we can resign free agents, and then use the cap space either seperately or as part of the trade (making it lopsided, presumably in our favor).
I’m still down with KP and our 54-win group of young talent. Not making a splash in the draft is a good thing. When was the last time the L@ker’s did? Or Boston (I mean in a good way)?

I mean got some good rookies in a draft...
like traded up for them. They traded their no. 5 pick and a TON of players that were already on their team. That deal could’ve gone down with or without a draft.

And the Ray Allen trade hapened before the draft and didn't involve any picks.

54 wins was nice
But I wonder if the front office learned anything from the first round playoff meltdown?
They’ve got a couple more weeks to demonstrate that they did

I don't think the question is how well he'll play
I think it’s IF he plays, consistent minutes for a few seasons.
He WILL be an amazing rebounder in the NBA. But apparently GMs think his knees won’t hold up for 1500, 2000 minutes over 8 months.
so he's basically Paul Millsap...
best case right? ever check out the splits for Millsap against starting PF’s vs. back-up PF’s? starting power forwards for playoff teams are considerably different than scrub ones…

If Blair
works out for the spurs they had a great draft. Man, I would love to know what flagged Blair, the rumor on his knees seems to be alot worse then even the public knows about.
I feel really bad for the kid after the tourney he had.

You get squeezing down to the exact things. Now it's not about fluff. It's down to deal points."
