Yao's foot injury not healed
"team doctor Tom Clanton examined Yao's foot in Houston on Wednesday and said the injury has not responded to the treatment program."
This is not encouraging news for the Rockets.

I’m not sure if Yao’s stress fracture is to the same bone, but we’ve seen how foot injuries can “linger”
Is there anyone here who thinks Houston would’ve beaten in round 1 Portland without Ming? The big man matchups swing in the Blazer’s favor when you take Yao out of the Rocket’s equation

Everything we did was basically because of Yao on defense.
Without him, Scola wouldn’t be wide open for the entire first half of each game, and it would be easier to cover penetrating guards.
I say we would have beat them, but that team played with a ton of heart when Yao went down.

We would have whipped them if they didn't have Yao.
It would have been Blazers in 5 most likely. Yao made AB a huge player just by Yao being on the floor.

I think it might have been the Blazers defense that made AB a huge player

i don't want to hear anymore about greg being injury prone
both mutombo and yao got seriously hurt facing him and joel. Ming still played in the next round but we all saw that his foot got seriously hurt playing portland
