Draft (and other stuff) Podcast
The news of the day caused a slight delay, but here is the Trailblazers.com podcast for your listening pleasure tonight and tomorrow morning. As always it features Casey Holdahl of the Center Court Blog, Gavin Dawson from 95.5 The Game, and me...Dave from Blazersedge.
Obviously we're all about the draft this week, plus some discussion of how much player swapping is possible, how the league views Portland, whether Richard Jefferson helps the Spurs and why the Blazers weren't all about that, Twitter, breakfast foods, Europe, and more.
You can download the .mp3 here or click on Casey's link above to stream it.
For you radio listeners both Ben and I will be on the MSP on 95.5 The Game tomorrow morning at the start of the 7:00 hour. For those in Eugene I'll be on The Writer's Block on The Score during the 8:00 hour on Friday to analyze the draft and what could be coming next.

He did indeed!
We posted nearly simultaneously. I tucked his away because this one also mentions the radio appearances. Nobody should miss Ben dropping knowledge tomorrow!

Richard Jefferson
He doesn’t make them much better on D which was their problem last year. Improves them marginally really. Still a good move because they need some youth and scoring but not ground breaking.

I tend to agree
I see it like the Phx/Cha JRich trade.
People started to drool over the thought of JRich, running with Nash, Amare, and Shaq and what di dit amount to? Both teams were older and traded players that helped win a lot of games with things other than their scoring Bell and Diaw and both teams may end up finishing out of the playoffs,
Collegiate stats:
NCAA Arizona:
Jerryd Bayless: 19.7pts, 4.0 asts, 3to
NAIA Wisconsin-Stevens Point
Terry Porter: 19.7pts, 4.3 asts, 2.33to
Ughhhhh ... did Gavin really say:
“biggest **** in the history of the league” in the podcast at about the 48 minute mark?
Yikes!
This is my kinda podcast! Spicy …

not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Like all the podcasts
Needs MORE DAVE. You’re too polite and deferential – nix those timing/cap mistakes early, Dave, don’t wait until they’ve spent 5 minutes discussing impossible moves!

Dave has too many smart things to say, and they are too well thought out. That's no way to win on the radio. you have to shoot your mouth off about nonesense.

Here's the truth:
Much of what I say comes directly in response to Casey and Gavin. If they weren’t saying what they’re saying you wouldn’t hear my stuff either. The synergy makes it work. You put the three of us in a restaurant booth, keep the appetizers and cold drinks coming, and you could leave and come back ten hours later and we would probably still be talking Blazers. They are that good at picking up topics and inspiring thought.
