Victor Claver (SF, projected 30s) signs new three year deal in Spain
This happened last week, and somehow I haven't seen it reported anywhere yet on the US draft sites although he is a very promising international player. He has a new deal with Pamesa Valencia until 2012. However it contains an "affordable" buyout to play in the NBA after each year. He intends to remain in the draft, but wants to be a second round pick so he later can get a larger contract independent of the rookie scale.
(While e.g. Israeli SF/PF Omri Casspi who seems pretty impressive in his workouts so far has also expressed interest to be selected in the first round, which would be a first for a player from his country, but is open to returning to Europe for another season or so if the NBA team drafting him has no immediate need.)

So Casspi would be willing to make less money
And put up with the rookie scale nonsense to rep for his country? interesting attitude.
