Trade for Turiaf/Crawford?
Jamal Crawfords availability mixed with his friendship with BRoy and the need for a banger sparked this idea. Portland Incoming: Jamal Crawford Ronny Turiaf Golden State Incoming: Steve Blake Travis Outlaw Channing Frye Rudy Fernandez This would leave the rotation as Guard Crawford/Roy/Bayless Wing Webster/Batum/Roy Frontcourt Aldridge/Oden/Pryzbilla/Turiaf That leaves a solid 8 man rotation with 4 bigs, 3 guards, and 2 wings with Sergio, and Draft Picks to round out the bench, this also opens up flexibility for who we draft. Thoughts? Any chance portland or golden state do this trade?

I would assume GState does this in a heartbeat
I’m reluctant to give up Rudy for Crawford, no matter how happy it made Roy. I think his trade value is higher than that, especially for Euro-collectors like Toronto or San Antonio or Houston.

Why Rudy?
They aren’t utilizing Crawford. So why should we give up our second best offensive player? Instead we should give them Sergio.

Rudy's 3rd best at most

Definitely third best...
…after Roy and LMA. Who else is third? Outlaw? Blake? NIMO.

Ugh
I wouldn’t trade Rudy straight up for Crawford
I wouldn’t trade Blake, Outlaw and a signed-and-traded Frye for Turiaf.
So, no, I wouldn’t make this deal and I don’t think the Blazers would, either.

Talk about spelling it out.
That about sums it up for me too.

Maybe Sergio, Outlaw & 24th for just Turiaf.
But I would not swap Fernandez for Crawford, even if he is friends with Roy. Not worth it
Offseason:
PG Options: Terrence Williams(D), Rodrigue Beaubois(D)
SG Options: Mickaël Piétrus(T)
PF Options: Ronnie Turiaf(T) - Taj Gibson(D), Kevin Seraphin(D)
C Options: Alexis Ajinca(T)

SO does that mean that rudy and roy arent friends?
I think the whole " PLayer A and Player B are good friends" argument is kinda weird dont you think?
Because if sometime down the road brandon and LaMarcus end up in like new york or something ,everyone would be like: Great , these too are friends they will play well together.
Deep down everyone knows that crawford is a nice player but we really don’t need him on this team.

Nelson hates Crawford
He will pull one of his typical scotch fueled maneuvers and trade Crawford somewhere that Crawford will hate just to punish him.
Or, just keep him on the roster and refuse to play him until he retires.
But regarding your idea, why would Portland give up the three best players in the deal?

My wishlist:
PG: Rondo/Bayless
SG: Roy/Rudy
SF: Batum/Roy
PF: LMA/Pendergraph
C: Oden/Przybilla
As you can see, I’ve got Roy on here twice. This is to make as many minutes available as possible for both Brandon and Rudy. The idea (similar to what is already happening) is to let Batum start off the game and hopefully set the defensive tone early and throw the other teams high-scoring wing off his game. As soon as that is set, or if it isn’t working, bring in Rudy and move Brandon to the “3” spot. Now it’s time to put the competition on their heels while outscoring the heck out of ’em going into halftime.
