Josh Childress on five differences between the NBA and European basketball. I really liked "guys you have never heard of score on you".

Getting flares shot at you.
That’s something that I don’t think you’ll ever see happen here. I actually worked with an exchange teacher from Hungary for a year. He was AMAZED at the Rose Garden and how safe he felt. He was very impressed that Blaze the Trail Cat could shoot a confetti cannon at a L@ker fan and everyone cheered. He said in Europe if a mascot shot you with “a toilet paper gun” that the fan would have “torn Blazes’ head off”.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
Its a European sports thing
If you didn’t know, before the European Final in Rome last week, there was a valid concern that some fans woudl get knifed by the hooligans in Rome (and indeed a few did). I doubt you’d hear that anywhere in the US…
Proud member of Duck nation!
pretty funny stuff
he is coming over this year for sure, right?
Brandon Roy, 'nuff said.
Best draft of all time: "1942, right after Pearl Harbor….everyone got drafted" --- 92wastheyear
He will at least test the offers. That flare was a compelling motivator.
He likely has no interest to return to ATL and they will make him the qualifying offer so they can get something for him. But I would but the chance to see him back in the NBA next season at about 80%.
I think Josh Childress will return to the Atlanta Hawks, albeit for just one season.
With the economy down across America, Childress will probably be satisfied being a sixth man down in Atlanta for a year. Come the summer of 2010, Childress will peddle his wares in an open market — as he’ll be an unrestricted free-agent at that point — wherein numerous teams will have lots of salary cap space.
Dudes Greeks fans don't represent all Europe
You smell it? You smell it? Playoffs son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of Playoffs in the morning.
when they make international headlines they do.
alot like when any given american starts screaming, “I’m an american!!” any time any host nations police poke and prodd at em, they’re rep’in the classic “stuck up american” to the eyes of a beholder. No?
I mean I’m just being overly arrogant pooling people together like that, but …. don’t we all? at some level?
someone smarter will have to jump in to save my butt here but someone understands what I’m sayin no? then again…maybe not… ?? just what I thought when I read that … kk love ya bye bye.
The Faith don't panic, the faith freaks out, burns out farms, and torchs small villages in the name of The Faith.

That’s the reason of my comment. To generalize is stupid for me.
Peace & Ball movement!!
