Watching the finals.. man I hope we get there soon

After watching the finals with the magic and cavs going at it and cavs end up loosing gotta tell you thats a great example of team work agianst the best player in the nba. I hope our trailblazers are watching these games while on vacation and study how the magic play or any team for that matter that lefts in the playoffs. WE need a PF and PG but who can we get? I just cant wait any longer wish the blazer season started right now. Is there anyway to boost and help our team like as for our crowd is concerned? I wonder when the trailblazers will get a new jersey design because they have had that jersey forever but I like the design, original and awesome. I guess really not the PG's and PF's we need its greg oden to step up his game and elevate because he will for sure help us in the paint and with Dwight Howard leading the magic I hope oden is watching the game. I also hope KP can make some miracle trade happen.

I have to say, I haven't really been watching that much.

But that’s me. I’m more of a Blazers fan rather than a basketball fan. I think it’s cool that Orlando knocked off the favorites.

The PG question is an ongoing one, and one that may or may not get resolved this off-season. A good dialog is taking place on that topic here.

I thought our crowd was really good this year. I don’t know if we need any more out of them then they already have.

Greg Oden stepping up is really key for us. If he does, look out league. If not, then we have some worrying to do. Fortunately, he has nowhere to go but up. (At least I sure hope so!)

You have a lot of good questions. The drawback in your presentation is that they all come at once, and are harder for the rest of the community to sort out. You might try taking one of those questions (or two, if they’re related) and expanding on them, and include your own thoughts. We want to hear what you have to say too. We may not all agree, but that makes for a more interesting conversation.

Also, check out the other fanposts to see if there is a conversation already going about your subject. If there is, jump in with both feet! In an interesting conversation, more people are likely to hear your thoughts in there than out here. Keep asking those questions when you do.

right after

our loss to Houston I couldn’t watch any game, but finally the hangover ended and I enjoyed the eastern conference finals a lot.

I'll go ahead and answer your questions, then, you can question my answers.
WE need a PF and PG but who can we get?

Nobody around here is really getting much into that. You should bring it up in a trade drawer. I personally think we should get Bayless to be better, make Blake backup and then sign the cheapest free agent possible between the ages of 24-30. So probably Jarret Jack.

For a PF we should drive up the prices of every restricted free agent we can, get the other teams to ruin their cap space by retaining guys they can’t afford, and then just pick up a cheap guy. My secret cheap guy would be Shelden Williams. I know he stinks, but he stinks cheaply, and does rebound fairly well. And he is ugly. Ug-ly. But he has a great personality because he got Candace Parker to like him even though he stinks, and has that face on his head 24 hours a day. So that must mean he is a great guy. Portland needs more great guys, not thug ballers. Malik Rose is my other thought, but I can’t think of anything even remotely humorous about him except that he looks like Brevin Knight if Brevin was retired for 15 years.

Is there anyway to boost and help our team like as for our crowd is concerned?

Our players try harder if you yell encouragement when they are defense. It also makes it harder for the other teams forwards to hear the snap count.

I wonder when the trailblazers will get a new jersey design because they have had that jersey forever but I like the design, original and awesome.

It took them 20 years just to rotate the pinwheel 45 degrees, so maybe never, or maybe 2011 will be the next big change when the pinwheel finally rotates another 45 degrees and ends up horizontal.

I also hope KP can make some miracle trade happen.

My miracle trade would be if he could trade one of Paul Allen’s yachts for a time machine and then sign Dr J and Moses Malone from 1982. We would be unstoppable.

Question which would you rather have

A slow build to a championship (letting are players develop give them a few more seasons to grow together) or trade for a few vets and go after it now (knowing that those vets will not be around as long as our other guys)
